JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- DAVID DINKIN (NL Raiders A) - the coolest man at Rowley Lane. Stepped up and lashed his match-winner penalty into top binns, giving spot-kick specialist Russ Corin no chance. The strike kept L'Orange on course for their first Jewish FA Cup success
- YISROEL LEWIS (RC UK FC) - contorted his body al la Gareth Bale but this was from 35 yards out and hit the bouncing ball at shoulder height that swerved right into the top corner for his first goal of the season and what a goal it was. There are not many players in Jewish football that could hit a ball like that

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- JAMES HARPIN (Lions B) - made a breathtaking save, tipping over a sensational 25-yard effort from Jake Gilbert that was destined for the top corner
- DAN KOSKY (Faithfold B) - incredible save in a one-on-one, the ball was heading into the top left-hand corner but Kosky somehow managed to get to it and tip it over the bar

- JONATHAN ADELMAN (Raiders B) - "The Morrison is the one trophy in Jewish football that the club hasn't won, and we really want to complete the set. I'm delighted for Shaf, he's had to absorb so many injuries this season but it looks like the players are coming back to fitness at just the right time"
- RICKY LAWRENCE (SPEC FC) - "I think Redbridge's attacking threat just shades it but Oakwood seem a fair bit better at the back"
- DAN SHAFRON (Raiders A) - “Today was definitely our hardest test against a great group who I'm sure will have an excellent chance of winning gold at the Maccabiah. My boys deserve to enjoy this moment"
- DAN JACOBS (Lions Masters) - “That their keeper was man-of-the-match and that their first shot in anger against us (other than the penalty) came 15 minutes from time tells the story. A game we should have won; hope the bitter taste is one that drives us on come the summer"

A first-half penalty from David Dinkin sent current MGBSFL champions North London Raiders A into the Peter Morrison Trophy final following a hard-fought win over Lions Masters at Rowley Lane.

Lions missed a number of excellent chances in the first-half, with NLR keeper Jake Doffman denying them on several occasions.
With half-time approaching, NLR were awarded a penalty by referee Andy Myerson, and Dinkin sent Russ Corin the wrong way from the spot, sending his penalty into the top corner.
The Lions tired in the second half and NLR’s superior fitness came through. Corin was the busier keeper in the second 45, denying the impressive Liron Mannie on more than one occasion.
Raiders boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "The Masters had a lot of quality all over the pitch and had some good chances to score in the first half. We took more control of the game in the second half and I'm delighted for the boys."
Lions manager Dan Jacobs told JC Sport: "I’m not sure how a foul can be given for a trip on the ground when the ball is eight feet in the air and the defender has eyes for that only, but those are the breaks and there’s simply no mileage in dwelling on it."
Raiders will meet South Manchester in the final in May, looking to win Jewish FA Cup for the first time.

SPEC FC 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 8
RUSSELL GOLDSTEIN was the hat-trick hero as Redbridge Jewish Care A boosted their title hopes, closing the gap on leaders Oakwood in the process after destroying SPEC.
Dean Nyman and Daniel Garfinkle bagged braces, with Sam Sollosi completing the rout at Hertswood.
SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "We battled well for 70 minutes or so but then we let ourselves down in the last 20. Redbridge are a very good side though.
Asked about the top two, Lawrence went on to say: "I think Redbridge's attacking threat just shades it but Oakwood seem a fair bit better at the back."

Dan Harrod, Reiss Mogilner and Sam Monjack and an own goal ensured Brady Maccabi finished the season with a 4-2 win over Camden.
Brady joint-manager Eli Dagul told JC Sport: "It wasn't a vintage performance, but we got all three points and end the season with a victory. We now look forward to improving over the summer and coming back stronger next season."

Finchley City kept alive their hopes of finishing third after winning a five-goal thriller against Bilbaum, thanks to strikes from Josh Gaon, Jono Gaon and a first-ever MGBSFL goal from player-manager Joel Holder.

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 1 MACCABI LONDON LIONS B 1
An effort from the in-form Adam Abadi confirmed Lions B as runners-up as they came from a goal down to draw with Raiders B.
Danny Bloom had put Raiders ahead direct from a corner, beating James Harpin who had just made a wonder save to deny Jake Gilbert.
NLR boss Jonny Adelman told JC Sport: "I thought we shaded the first half but not having a sub to call on after Anthony Shaw's injury early in the second half made life tough for us in heat and Lions deservedly equalised with 10 to go. We might have won it late on with good pressure from Alex Elf, Gilbert and Jacob Gold but overall a fair result."

Faithfold finished the season with a hard-earned point that keeps them above Real Hendon for now, but the visitors have two games remaining and will be confident of leapfrogging them as they are only a point behind.
