TEMPLE FORTUNE 0 HERTSWOOD VALE 10

Josh Gorb put Hertswood ahead in the first couple of minutes, some excellent attacking work saw the visitors take their chances well and race into an unassailable lead early on - Cohen and Millet in particular deserve their plaudits with nine-minute and 24-minute hat-tricks respectively.

Cohen bagged a fourth in the second half to ensure Hertswood hit double figures. The pick of the goals was a Josh Cohen belter - he picked up the ball on the left wing 30 yards from goal, shimmey'd right to knock the ball past the defender before arrowing a beautiful strike into the top right-hand corner. In his own words "pretty much Coutinho against Girona, but literally top corner".

Reflecting on a third win in the last four games, Hertswood joint-manager Jacob Emauel told JC Sport: "Our opposition deserves full respect for coming out in the second half with a new lease of life, although we missed a number of chances to increase our lead further, they stood resilient and I imagine after their manager said a few choice words to them at half-time, they responded accordingly.

"Although the attack and midfield will get a lot of praise for their performance today, the defence does as well, as we grabbed just our second clean sheet of the season.

"Today is a proud day for the club - this result says a lot about how far the club have come, and is just reward for the the level of work and effort that Danny, Viv, Jack and myself have put into the club since we started up at the beginning of last season - we'll certainly enjoy a l'chaim or two tonight."
