PMT final preview: HMH pen pics

HMH are relishing their first Peter Morrison Trophy final as they look to bring down the curtain on their first season in the MGBSFL Premier Division in style.

articlemain

HMH, styled by boss Avi G in the Barca way. HMH is primarily a Jewish youth club with more than 30 teams from age of six playing each season. The core of this team has been together for around ten years and won the Harris Balcombe U14 trophy on their last visit up north some seven years ago. This is the first time HMH has reached the final of the Peter Morrison Trophy and they finished runners-up in the MGBSFL Premier Division this season.

JACOB SHAPIRO (Goalkeeper) - huge presence, dominates the area and has great feet, he is our Ter Stegen.

THOMAS PRAIS (Defender) – Vice-captain of the team, is Carlos Puyol in disguise, fearless and is the boss’s go-to man when a job needs doing on the pitch. A superstar agent on the side.

SAMMY KINGSTON (Defender) - Struts around the park calmly like Gerard Pique and loves to deliver a 40-yard pass from that trusty left foot.

JOSH GOLDSTEIN (Defender) - Nothing gets past HMH’s Jordi Alba. He can beat anyone with his speed, low centre of gravity, shimmy and quick feet.

AVI GOLDBERG (Defender) - not quite the speed of Dani Alves but the right-back knows how to sniff out danger in a calm manner.

ALEX MOSS (CDM) –vice-captain is one of two central defensive midfielders, and despite the height difference, he’s like Sergio Busquets. Controls the tempo of the team, sniffs out danger and routinely turns defence into attack.

MAX BULL (CDM) - The terrier with finesse, he plays like Mascherano.

BEN WINTERS (Midfielder) - with high-energy and high-tempo, plays like Xavi when he is fit and on his game.

OSCAR WAGNER (Forward) – Graceful, with the style of Thierry Henry, and the goals too. Has scored 20 times this season. A superstar agent on the side too.

DOM FELDMAN (Forward) - Loves a jink and to cut inside and bend his shot Coutinho style.

CLARK NORTON (Forward) - Built like Samuel Eto’o, defenders fear where he goes

ARIEL RAHAMIM (Forward) - pops up in the right places to score goals and shows us regular glimpses of what he can do, the David Villa way

ETHAN KRELL (Forward) -  full of energy, loves a tussle, beats defenders and scores spectacular goals Pedro would be proud of.

LEO ACKERMAN (Left-sided defender/winger) – Oxford University captain plays with strength and pace. Knows how to deliver a cross and score just the way Abidal did

And those HMH will be missing who will be tuning in from various places on Jewrosport 1 including Peru, Tanzania and Australia:

GEORGE GOLDBERG (Winger) - Club captain, 15 years at the club, all-time club leading scorer with over 200 goals, Ronaldinho in his pomp

ELI WEGZYRN (Midfielder) - graceful and intelligent, plays a pass and scores important goals the way Iniesta did

ADAM ABADI (Midfielder) – vice-captain converted to forward who learned to score for fun, has the energy, guile and strength of Suarez (without the bite!)

JAKE NORTON (Defender) – strong and fearless vice-captain, never loses a header, a bear like Gabriel Marquez

GABES ARENSON (Defender) – a battler with a touch of the Sergio Roberto about him

SAM MONJACK (Midfielder) - has that Messi like ability to find the extra yard of space, drop the shoulder, accelerate and leave defenders trailing

JAKE DOFFMAN (Goalkeeper) - a fantastic shot stopper, who saved the all-important penalty in the quarter finals against Oakwood, he is our Victor Valdes.

OLLIE REBACK (Goalkeeper) - performed heroics at the start of the season, and continued to support us from uni at Bristol, he is our Claudio Bravo

AVI GOLDBERG (Manager) – self-styled like Pep, a little less elegant but a little more hair, he has the Pep playbook of tactics down to a fine art

Colours: Pep’s all sky blue

Sponsors: Powerleague

A big thank you to club chairman Nick Sonenfeld and club secretary Deri Ansher, without whom this record-breaking season would not have been possible.
