A goal in each have from Daryl Phillips steered Faithfold to victory in a heated contested against Division Two high-flyers Redbridge B at Chase Lodge.
Redbridge boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "We matched the champions every step of the way, only to be undone by two set-pieces. The boys will learn from this and realise that there is nothing to be afraid of in Jewish football.
"My challenge to the boys is to take this defeat as the springboard for the rest of the season."

The calculators were out at Hadley FC as cup kings Hendon A put 17 past Division Three battlers Boca.
Chanukah came early for David Garbacz's troops, for whom YISHAI LAST led the way with a fab five-goal salvo, including a treble inside the opening 10 minutes.
GREG CORIN and BEN KON claimed hat-tricks, with Avidan Last and Ari Last chipping in with doubles, along with one apiece from Avi Korman and Rafi Kon.
Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "This was as dominant a performance as you can ever expect to see. We were 5-0 up inside 15 minutes and it was always a question of how many. We must become more clinical however as I thought we should have had at least 25!
"I would like to credit Boca - they could easily have walked off and just given up but they kept going in what must have been quite difficult circumstances and showed really good spirit and it was nice that they managed to score - at that stage we were only leading by 13 and we feared an almighty comeback!"
Boca joint-manager Jack Shulman said: "It was a tough result to take but the second half performance gives us optimism for Sunday."

First division Hendon B needed three late goals to see off a determined effort from Division Three outfit Faithfold C in west Hendon.
Chaim Gothold, Daniel Garfinkel, Martin Smulovitch and Gav Noe steered the Reds home.
Faithfold marksman Dan Gordon was on target for the Superhoops.
Hendon joint-player-manager Chaim Gothold told JC Sport: "It was a comfortable win although we did get our last three goals in the last 10 minutes."
Faithfold player-manager David Garson believes the scoreline flattered Hendon, telling JC Sport: "The scoreline didn't reflect the game; we were 2-1 down with five to go and had chances to get back into it. Good luck to Hendon in the next round and we look forward to playing their C team next week."

Premier Division class told as Oakwood A finished in seventh heaven after condemning Jewdinese to their first defeat of the season.
Three goals from BOBBY COUSINS set up the win, with two from Josh Bentley, Alex Koslover and Sam Jacobson putting the icing on the cake.
Oaks joint-manager Alex Schock told JC Sport: "In truth we never really got out of fifth gear. To be honest we didn't know what to expect from our opposition and without a recognised keeper we just wanted to get through the game and into the hat for the next round.
"We played some nice football at times and should have scored at least another five or six but were never really pressed by a young Jewdinese team."
Jewdinese chairman Jake Erlich told JC Sport: "We lost to a far superior team who fully deserve the win. However, as a team we have all taken the positives out of the result and look to build as a new squad. We had a setback before the game when Ben Berrick pulled out due to injury and when Harry Marks got injured 15 minutes into the game, we had to play the rest of the 75 with 10 men.
Jewdinese boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "The league is my priority in our first season and we will look to learn from this experience."

FC Team A cruised to victory over Premier Division rivals Redbridge, with RICHARD SALMON bagging a treble in an emphatic victory at Fairlop.
A double from Jon Breger and an own goal completed the rout.
Jubilant FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "I am so proud of the boys today. We only had 11 fit players and no goalkeepeer - Adam Rones kindly volunteered to go in goal and did not put a foot wrong, what a hero. In fact there were 11 heroes out there today.
"We worked very hard, remained disciplined and we carved Redbridge apart with our football which at times was brilliant. We showed passion and desire and above all else we were clinical.
"This performance was extremely unexpected given the circumstances and the line-up Redbridge had, but my boys were amazing today and I am extremely happy to progress to the next round of the cup and we showed tremendous character to bounce back after Brady last week.
"Just to mention the referee Adam Lewis who had a tremendous game as well. Top referee! Now all our attention turns to Faithfold!"

Goal king JAMIE KENT was in sparkling form as Shirley Park won the all-Division One tie at Chase Lodge.
There was also one for Stefan Benfredj who opened the scoring in a tight first-half after Kent was upended in the area.
Rob Abrahams preserved the lead with a stunning save and the visitors went on to hit Harmen with wave after wave of attacks, with Kent going on to complete his first hat-trick of the season.
The impressive Gideon Gold also won a penalty after a Messi-esque run but Benfredj missed from the spot and Gold was later denied by the woodwork following a thunderbolt from 30 yards.
Harmen's consolation came through Marc Cohen.
Shirley boss Dave Lusman told JC Sport: "All in all a good display from Park - we've still got a lot more to give, but we're slowly getting to where we want to be as a team."

NLR boss Phil Peters told JC Sport: "Obviously I am very pleased with a fourth win in a row, but there is still a long, long way to go this season."
Brady joint-manager Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "I'm disappointed with today's result but we were missing our spine today in Matt Sofier, Josh Gordon and Jonny Ellis. The young boys did well but the former combined with a couple of others who were unavailable today made it a difficult task against a team who are unbeaten.
"The good thing is we have a chance to bounce back next week against Lions and will be ready for the big local derby."

Brixton claimed their first win under new boss Scott Smith and what a win it was, beating Division Two champions 5-3 at Rowley Lane.
Rob Hershkorn and Daniel Raphael were among the scorers for Brixton who finished with 10 men after Dave Ronson’s dismissal for a second yellow card.
Brixton chairman Robert Silverman told JC Sport: "Although our new squad still needs more time to gel, we were are satisfied with our performance, particularly the manner in which we reacted after Brady pulled level."
Brady boss Josh Dagul told JC Sport: "We weren't at the races in the first half and Brixton took advantage of that. Alon Hershkorn killed us on the break with his pace. Credit to Brixton, who utilised their strengths and didn’t panic when we came back to 3-3."

A Mitch Hahn-inspired performance helped Woodford romp to victory in the Essex derby against Chigwell in Walthamstow.

A Woodford spokesman told JC Sport: "An ageing Chigwell team couldn't prevent a rampant Woodford from coming out on top. We were disappointed with the lack of spirit and fight shown by a team who allegedly scored 8 (eight) goals last week.
"Every predictable straight ball that Chigwell played was swept up by the organised team, led by their player-manager Tony Charles.
"Ironically Chigwell were anything but 'athletic' as they tried to keep up with the ever-youthful Mitch Hahn all afternoon."
Chigwell boss Richard Slater described the performance as "lifeless, flat and one of the worst Chigwell performances in recent seasons".

Faithfold boss Dan Yoss told JC Sport: "We didn't turn up and showed no heart, commitment or desire. We'll try to pick the boys up for training on Sunday and just take it one game at a time. It's the worst day I've ever had in my time with the MSFL and there's a lot of hard work ahead to make us competitive in this league."

Oakwood B returned to winning ways with a handsome 3-0 victory over FC Team B at Old Camdenians.
A nice finish from Dan Rose, a wonder strike from Marc Hyamson and an own goal eased them home.
Oaks boss Ian Tussie, who watched the game via a stream, told JC Sport: "I'm happy with the win. We needed to get three points in the bag and now we're looking forward to the derby against London Haroldeans on Sunday."

Two more goals from the in-form James Joseph paved the way for an FC Team C victory as they showed their quality against fellow promotion hopefuls Blizzard Storm in Mill Hill.
Andrew Hurwitz, David James Cohen and an own goal completed the scoring.
Dan Simons scored both goals for Blizzard.
Delighted FC Team joint-manager Michael Myers told JC Sport: "It was a tough physical game but with players like Rob Sanford and Oli Senchal, who relish the physicality, Team controlled the tempo and had the majority of possession and overall it was a good performance."
Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We struggled today, it wasn't easy. It didn't help losing a couple of players at half time, but on the day the best side won. We have to bounce back next week."

BEN ZLOOF was the hat-trick hero as AC Mill Hill hit London Haroldeans for six.

There was early drama when Marcus Mann was brought down by Mill Hill keeper James Grabiner, who was fortunate to stay on the pitch and he made amends saving the resultant penalty.
London Haroldeans boss Jonathan Abrams told JC Sport: "We lost against an organised team who deserved the win. The result speaks for itself and we can't argue because they were the better team. We need to regroup, rethink and focus on the next game."

Catford captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "It was a battle today with the bare 11 and a number of players out. But there's something different about Catford this season, with real strength in depth already proving crucial. And then there's the fact that we go out to win.
Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "I'm absolutely gutted to be honest, I thought a point was the very least we deserved. We played considerably the better football and created the better chances, but unfortunately we've come away with nothing. I'm disappointed, but still remain positive with regards to the rest of the season."

Experience conquered youth, but only just as Fortune edged home at the Roger Bannister Sports Centre.
A Dave Sawyer penalty cemented Fortune's first win of the season after a Whetstone player had handled the ball on the goal-line, which resulted in a red card.
Fortune manager Jonathan Cohen said: "A clean sheet, no cards and three points – so a pleasing morning all round!"
Whetstone boss Clive Nathan told JC Sport: "Agajnst a very experienced side, we created lots of chances and only conceded from the spot. The challenge for this group of 16-year-old's is to be more composed in front of goal but that will come.
