Eran Zahavi is set to leave Maccabi Tel Aviv next month when the transfer window opens.
Reports in Germany claim Maccabi recently rejected a €3 million (£2,114,470) offer from Hannover while Werder Bremen are also interested.
Maccabi are reluctant to release their talismanic captain, but they will be hoping a bidding war develops for the prolific goal-scorer.
Zahavi joined Maccabi following a two-year spell with Palermo in Italy. He scored seven goals in the Champions League qualifiers and helped Maccabi reach the group stage for the first time since 2004.
Zahavi, 28, registered Maccabi’s only goal to date in the group stage but encouraging comments by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho after last week’s win over Maccabi will only enhance his value.
"He is very intelligent in his movements and I like the way he attacks spaces," Mourinho said. "He made an amazing run behind John Terry and with his control made space to shoot."
Mourinho added that Zahavi is “good enough to play in the Premier League", though no English clubs have yet shown interest in the Israeli.
