Sam Vangelder sent Manchester Maccabi 1st into the County Cup semi-final.

Vangelder’s winner saw off Levenshulme Athletic in their last-eight showdown.

And boss Tony Gellman says their double dream remains alive.

He said: “It was another hard-fought win. There is a long way to go but we are looking good on a couple of fronts.

“The target is the Accountants Premier Division. But a cup triumph to go alongside it would top off a memorable season.”

Meanwhile, Manchester Maccabi 2nds continue to lead the way in Division One. Jason Hamburger (2), Harry Myers and Roy Fux were on the scoresheet in their 5-2 win over Iraq FC.
