Super-sub James rules Britannia

A hat-trick from sub James Gershfield helped MSFL champions North West Neasden A come from two down to beat Britannia to a place in the second round of the Sunday FA Cup.

Lee Cash started the recovery with a brilliant finish after 82 minutes and Maccabiah star Levenfiche took the tie to extra time with a bullet header from a Jake Gottlieb free-kick.

Neasden boss David Fox said: “This was the toughest team we have ever played. Most of them play for Aylesbury in the Ryman Division but our squad were awesome. To come back from 2-0 down with eight minutes to go shows how strong our character is.”

Their reward is a home tie against Hammer on November 15.

London Maccabi Lions A tumbled out after going down in a five-goal thriller against Royal Falcons. Max Fieldgrass and Joel Ross were the scorers.Hendon United B are proving the surprise package. They beat League Cup holders Hendon United A courtesy of a strike from Alex Neiss.

Steve Summers (2), Sam McCarthy and James Rubin earned title hopefuls Redbridge Jewish Care A victory at Bafana Bafana. Daryl Phillips (2), David Lederman and Alex Levack steered Faithfold A to a 4-1 win over South Manx A.

James Gold (2), Ben Lauffer and Danny Reuben earned London Maccabi Lions B a 4-4 draw at Glenthorne United A for whom Ben Sollosi (2) and Jamie Shaw were among the scorers.

Division One title hopefuls North West Neasden B hammered Brixton Old Boys 7-1 with goals from Ryan Sher (3), Darren Yarlett (2), Stevie Krein and Alex Bowman.

Joel Lassman and Richard Winton earned Brady Maccabi a 2-0 win against Camden Park. Oakwood and Montana Boca United A finished all square as Gary Bloch and Simon Wax, with his first for the club, exchanged goals. Jonny Blain (2), Jacob Gold and Jamie Wolfson inspired North London Raiders A to a 4-2 win at Red Sea.

Rapid Banta moved a point clear at the top of Division Two, despite being held by Holy Mount Zion. Leading scorer Stefan Simons grabbed his sixth of the campaign with Hugh Mark on target for HMZ.

A Nicky Woolf double and one from Adam Leveson saw North London Raiders B shock leaders FC Team A 3-0. Wolff also missed a penalty.

Rob Benson, John Fisher, Ben Isaacs and Paul Walker earned Temple Fortune to an impressive 4-2 win over Chigwell Athletic. Glenn Michaels and Neil Tilley replied.

Ashley Burns, Mark Hecht and Alex Hershman condemned FC Team B to a third consecutive defeat as Southgate Harmen B won 3-1.

Tony Gold, Jon Green and Greg Levy earned London Maccabi Lions C a 3-2 win over Faithfold B. Nick Roman and Dave Marcus replied. Benjamin Peters and Ben Kanter helped FC Heath overcome Faithfold C 2-1.

Two from Raphael Noe gave Hendon C a 2-1 victory over Catford & Bromley Maccabi. L’Equipe beat AC Cricklewood 3-0 with goals from Yoni Conway (2) and Josh Lewis.

A Darren Bloom double helped Montana B make it two out of two as they beat Zig Zag. UJS Norstar A returned to winning ways as Eli Houri (2) netted against FC Marylebone. A Matt Radstone hat-trick helped UJIA make it four out of four in Division Four. Gavin Sherman grabbed the other in the 4-0 win over Hendon D.

Craig Sanford (2), Josh Danan, Paul Sanders, Andy Herman and Darren Brown were the marksmen as Redbridge C thumped Team JLGB 6-1.

David Blackman’s second hat-trick eased Glenthorne B to a 5-2 win over Blizzard Storm. Jamie Weinrich and sub Jason Silver finished the job. Paul Franklin (3), Wayne Davidson and Eddie Lewin earned Real Life a 5-0 win over HMH. Dean Shaw (3), Josh Greenham, Gavin Levy and Jonathan Kay earned Pinner JFC a 6-3 victory over Jewventus.
