JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- JORDAN ALEX (Real Hendon) - completed the 5-1 rout, picking up the ball near the halfway line, powering past three defenders and dinking it over the keeper with a sublime finish
- DAVID NEZRI (ML Lions Blue) - a wonderful volley from just inside the box from a high ball, rifled into the roof of the net
- GAV LEWIS (Faithfold A) - shifting the ball back and forth across the pitch, with the whole team involved, after careful passing things sprung to life with Yossi Gordon finding space down the left, he surged forward and fed David Leiwy who cut in and found Lewis on the edge of the area. The 17-year-old shimmied inside and curled a beautiful shot into the far corner to seal the win
- ZAC LEWIS (Hendon Utd) - controlled a high ball on his chest and brought it down in one superb movement on the edge of the box which beat the entire defence and then a cool finish into the corner of the net
- MOSES SEITLER (Hendon Utd) - GOAL 3 - with the game tightly poised late on, Seitler picked up the ball just inside the opposition half and beat three defenders and finished into the far corner. A great goal from a great player to secure his hat-trick
- TOBY LEVY (Oakwood A) - brilliant left-foot finish from left-hand edge of the box to level the game at 1-1
- JOSH CUBY (Oakwood A) - hit it like a dart past the impressive James Harpin. Superb effort from 25 yards out
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- JAMES HARPIN (ML Lions Blue) - a penalty save in the third minute of the game followed by an incredible stop from the follow-up rebound from four yards out
- DAVID GARSON (Faithfold A) - the much-desired clean-sheet was under threat as the ball fell perfectly for the Temple Fortune striker who blasted it goalwards at point-blank range but an incredible strong hand and an outstretched arm by Garson denied Fortune a way back in as he tipped the shot over the bar
- RUSS CORIN (Hendon Utd) - dived backwards and up towards the far corner and clawed away a long-range shot which looked a certain goal. An amazing save and the pick of the bunch after keeping Lions at bay on a couple of other occasions
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- DORON SALOMON (NL Raiders B) - "We played Los Blancos twice in the cups and didn't do ourselves justice in those games. It makes today's result all the more satisfying seeing everything come together in what was an excellent team performance"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (Faithfold A) - "I was pressing for more goals but remembered Danny Caro's pre-game prediction and decided to settle on four!"

CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP QUARTER-FINALS
HENDON UNITED SPORTS 5 MACCABI LONDON LIONS WHITE 3
Cup holders Lions White were victims of a MOSES SEITLER master-class as Hendon United became the first team to secure their passage in this season's semi-finals after a thriller at Hadley FC.
Zac Lewis and Avi Korman also registered in a game that Hendon forged into a 4-1 lead.
The visitors did not let their heads drop and, inspired by Austin Lipman and Adam Burchell, they hauled themselves back into the tie at 4-3 but Hendon scored the game's eighth goal to seal the tie. Adam Arnold, Burchell and James Gold struck for the Lions.
Hendon boss Greg Corin told JC Sport: "It was a huge win today for the team. We played against a good side who drafted in some real quality players but the strength of our team really shone through and we were deserved winners in the end."

Redbridge B leapfrogged Scrabble after a four-midable performance at Fairlop, thanks to goals from Richie Rosenthal, Carl Dobin, Dan Lipman and Jacob Kaye.
Scrabble were missing up to 10 first-team regulars, according to boss Ray Abrahams, and their team featured Masters stars Jon Yantin Jonny Summerfield and Nigel Goldthorpe plus a stand-in goalkeeper.
Abrahams told JC Sport: "I am frustrated to say that in games we would normally expect to take something from points have slipped away because of this, but we will battle on and now turn our attention to the games we have coming up in which we have to turn our recent poor run around and start picking up some points to keep us clear of the relegation zone."
