CHESMAN LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
CHORLONT SPORTS 2 SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS CLUB 1st 3
On a beautiful winters morning, South took the lead in the first half when a Jack Wooley cords was diverted in the net by a sliding Chorlton defender.
South doubled their lead when a Levy picked up his head and delivered to the back stick, where Jack Wooley poked home from 5 yards.
It was Chorlton however who started brightly in the 2nd half and pulled a goal back, albeit somewhat fortunately directly from a cross.
After South grabbed a third, Chorlton pulled one back a minute later to set up a nervy last 20 - but South held on to get the all-important three points.
South Manchester joint-manager Neil Collins said: "The boys showed great strength to hold out and get back to winning ways after a tough beating last week.
"Credit to the boys, they were a shining light for others to follow and we look forward to our final game next week before the Chanukah break."
