BROXBOURNE BOROUGH 3 LONDON LIONS 2

London Lions pushed promotion hopefuls Broxbourne Borough all the way in an entertaining game at Goffs Lane.

Ultimately, Lions paid the price for a crazy 10-minute spell just after half time, which saw them concede three goals and finish on the end of a 3-2 defeat.

The result and performance pretty much summed up Lions's season. Glimpses of quality and being able to mix it with the best, mixed in with kamikaze defending and poor individual errors.

Charlie Kasler once again showed his qualities with two goals, especially his second which was a delightful finish from 20 yards.

With Lions in control leading 1-0 at half-time they hit the self-destruct button just after the break. Once again dead-ball situations were Lions's undoing, as Broxbourne's goals came from two corners and a needless penalty.

Lions play Amersham Town in their last game of the season on April 29 which for those committed few can't come quick enough.

LIONS Mark Brahams, Zac Rose (sub: Kyle Bentwood), David Souter, Michael Sacks, Guy Morris, Andy Glynne, Charlie Kasler, Will Beresford, Omri Brinner, Max Kyte (sub: Adam Hakimi), Dean Nyman

Scorer: Charlie Kasler (2)
