Sela tumbles out of French Open

Dudi Sela bowed out of the Men’s Singles at the second round stage following a straight sets defeat against Wilfred Tsonga at the French Open.

A first-round winner over Mikhail Kukushkin, Sela gave an excellent account in a tight first set before Tsonga broke serve to take the set 6-4.

The Frenchman stepped up a gear in sets two and three to complete a straight sets (6-1, 6-1) victory.

There was also disappointment for Argentina's Diego Schwartzman who succumbed in a five-set thriller against Gael Monfils.

Ilaty's Camila Giorgi tumbled out in straight sets against 21st seed Garbiñe Muguruza Blanco in the second round of the Ladies Singles.

There was better news for Peer in the Ladies Doubles. Peer and Annika Beck moved into round two with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Tereza Smitková and Klara Koukalova.
