If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That’s the message from North London Raiders A boss Dan Shafron.
Having taken over the reins from Rob Richman and Jonathan Green, Shafron is confident he can lead L’Orange to a third consecutive MGBSFL crown.
He told JC Sport: “We have also added further quality and strength in depth to freshen things up and keep competition strong.”
The absence of midfield maestro Ben Joseph comes as a major blow but with Jordan Marks and Matt Stock pinpointed as “ones to watch” they will take some stopping.
COMPETITIONS ENTERED:
MGBSFL Premier Division, Cyril Anekstein and PM Trophy
HOPES FOR THE SEASON:
We want to emulate and build on our recent success. We know that it will be a huge task with several clubs looking to stop us from becoming champions again, however I have joined North London Raiders to help bring more silverware to the club and we are looking forward to kicking off our title defence against Redbridge.
PLAYERS IN & OUT:
We have the same group of players that accomplished the double-double. We have also added further quality and strength in depth to freshen things up and keep competition strong. Ben Joseph is our notable absentee with a long term injury that will keep him out until the early part of 2017.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
I am sure plenty of eyes across the MGBSFL will be on Jordan Marks and Matt Stock
WHAT WILL THE TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON:
Exciting, energetic football played with plenty of conviction.
TEAM CAPTAIN:
David Rhodes - ever present and I believe now in to his 12th full season with the club
HOME GROUND:
The Ark Academy
CLUB COLOURS:
Orange & Blue
