It's celebration time for the Cats as chairman Lester Jacobs leads the club into its 50th year. But the million dollar question the fans want to know is will they have something to cheer about on the pitch?
Competitions entered: MSFL Division Three and Cyril Anekstein Cup
Hopes for the season: Promotion in our 50th year since the formation by our now Honoury Club President Melvyn Windsor would really be the icing on the cake for both the present bunch of lads and the hundreds of players who have proudly worn the blue and black of Catford over the generations. Once a CABMA, always a CABMA
New signings: Last season's demise of Jewventus means Gabriel John and Reuben John have returned to their spiritual home. We have also signed three players new to Maccabi football in Gidi Matlin, Ben Swart, Sean Preston
Which of these signings excites you most? It's a new season, therefore my entire squad excites me! So many new players will add competition and a freshness to a squad that last year severely under-achieved
Player departed: Lewis Maleh, John Keller
Ones to watch: New signings mean that past regular leading scorer Joel Isaacs returns to play up top after spending two seasons in the back line. Now forming an attack alongside three really upbeat Palace fans - Jamie Sinai, Jonny Lee and Yonni Bord - the four together should hopefully click to provide the goal-power we lacked last season
Which teams do you consider your strongest challengers? I've not had the opportunity to spy on other teams and have certainly not come across any pre-season video footage. So I've no idea how strong they are. It's enough to worry about my own squad without concering myself with the opposition. We'll just go out to win every game and hope that we're better than they are ...
Captain: Our own captain marvel, of course, Adam Luria (formerly Lewis)
Sponsor: Going into Catford's 50th year we're proud to have been sponsored by Furnitubes International for 20 of those years. The Furnitube's chairman is Stephen Cluer - a Vice-President of our football club and father of a former Cats goal-scoring legend, Adam
Home ground: Norsemen Football Club in Edmonton - one of the finest grounds in Maccabi football
What will your team bring to the league this season? If nothing else ... history making as the oldest name in the MSFL
