Newly-promoted Shirley Park have bought marksman Jamie Kent to make them an even tastier proposition. Manager Dave Lusman tells Danny Caro what to expect this season.
Competitions entered: All - MSFL Division One, Peter Morrison Trophy, Cyril Anekstein Cup
Hopes for the season: Who knows? There is a strong group of teams in the first division. We hope to to do the business and finish the season inside the top three.
Which team/s in your division do you think pose the biggest threat? All of them, same as last year, no-one can be underestimated. We've had some great games with Glenthorne during our short club history and see them as are biggest rivals along with NWN.
New signings: Jamie Kent - another goal machine to play up top with Saul Conway and Ran Subaru the Dani Alvez of the MSFL.
Captain: Nicky Plotnek. Vice-captain: Dan Mitman
Ones to watch and why? Nicky Plotnek - centre mid, one of the best if not the best midfield across all divisions, excellent attitude and serious tekkers
Gideon Gold - midfield, though small in statue, gids is injury free and back to his best, he has had an excellent pre season and has notched up nine goals in three games. Catch him if you can, if you can see him. The invisible man.
Saul Conway, centre forward - for those who have been around the MSFL block, you know what to expect. Saul tells me his one of the most prolific goal-scorers in football over the years, with a tally of over 250plus goals throughout his carer which includes five-a-sides and general kick-abouts, a bit like Pele.
