It’s been all change at Glenthorne United B with Jordan Sapler and Liam Stein taking over from Craig Sandford and Sam Rosenthal.
Sapler and Stein have set the bar high. “Our ultimate hope is to win the league playing good football and a couple of decent cup runs would be nice too,” said Sapler who believes the title race is wide open.
New faces include Jay Lawrence, Adam Goldman and James Berkley from Redbridge Jewish Care, while both player-managers will be available throughout the season having completed their studies.
Team captain Stein predicts Lawrence could be the star man for the Thornes. “He will be a key part of our team with his skills, passing and shooting ability, but everyone is in the team because of their willingness to play simple football.”
