Reingolds on song as Stanmore reach National Cricket cup final

Stanmore trio Marc Reingold, Steven Reingold and Grant Reingold helped the club complete a memorable weekend as they secured promotion back into the top tier of the Middlesex County League and followed it up by reaching the final of the ECB National 40-over club knockout.

The players, who represented Maccabi GB at last year’s Maccabiah Games in Israel, have produced a series of strong performances this season, with Steven hitting 60 runs  in the semi-final win over Roffey.

Batting first, Stanmore struck 225-6 off 40 overs, led by the excellent junior Reingold. He put on 78 for the first wicket with Talha Azam (41). His brother, Grant Reingold, chipped in with a valuable 35 runs.

In reply, Roffey were bowled all out for 143 off 33.3 overs, with Steven Reingold claiming two wickets and dad, Marc, as Roffeylost their final three wickets for just nine-runs.

Stanmore will play Richmondshire of the North Yorkshire South Durham Premier League in the cup final at Gloucestershire CC on September 16.
