A hat-trick from Joshua Resnick enabled Hendon Hawks B to climb off the foot of the Under 10 table with a 4-3 victory over Alyth Belsize in Edgware in the Maccabi GB Primary Football League.
The Hawks dominated throughout with an early strike as Resnick beat the Alyth goalkeeper with a shot that nestled in the bottom left hand corner.
Showing great intent, it was not long before the lead was extended courtesy of Jonathan Korn, who was on hand to tap home at the near post.
Alyth halved the deficit with an excellent finish and they were soon level with their striker punished a mistake by the Hawks defence.
The Hawks came out for the second half in determined mood. Excellent creative play was not capitalised upon and it was Alyth who forged ahead after the Hawks were unable to clear the ball.
The Hendon boys did not give up and Resnick made it 3-3 with a great solo run and finish.
A magnificent performance from Resnick was rounded off with a third and Hendon’s fourth. He combined with Korn to score the winner.
