Michael Klinger believes his excellent early season form has put him firmly in the sights of Australian selectors, but he admits it’s in the shorter form of the game that his best hopes lie.
Klinger bludgeoned his fifth cen-tury of the English season in Gloucestershire’s County Championship match against Essex.
The Gloucester captain has already smashed 457 runs in the T20 Blast this season and he’s hungry to pile up the runs against England, if selected.
"I feel that I am at a point where I am at my best in T20 cricket and I’m still getting better," said Klinger.
“I’ve been able to upskill my game to perform well and I haven’t given up hope of a call-up at some stage."
