JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- SAM SOLLOSI (Redbridge JC A) - GOAL 2 - a piece of futsal magic from Sam Sollosi with a driving run, a few step overs and a really beautiful finish in the corner of the goal

- SIMON ENGLANDER (Boca Jewniors) - an absolute thunderbolt winner against Temple Fortune

- DANIEL SELIGMAN (Oakwood B) - 0-1 down, 10 men. Up steps Dan Seligman cutting in on his right foot from the left hand side and unleashing an absolute thuderbolt strike to level things. Stunning

- JOSH SHERIDAN (Scrabble FC) - mazy run into the box and finish following a short corner with Zak McLeod

- BEN NACHOOM (Athletic Bilbaum) - small triangle passing on the outside of the box led to a layoff to Ben who with one-step, smashed it into the top left-hand corner from outside the area

- BEN BELL (Athletic Bilbaum) - collected the ball with his back to goal just outside the area and shifted past two people before driving it low and hard into the bottom left hand corner

- REISS MOGILNER (Brady Maccabi) - a move started by a quick throw out from the goalkeeper saw Brady work the ball beautifully up the left wing and across to Mogilner, who flicked it round the defender and blasted the ball home

-----------------------------
-----------------------------

DANNY CARO'S SAVE OF THE WEEK

WINNER: - RUSS CORIN (Hendon Utd SC A) - melee in the box ending with Russ saving a shot on the line from behind him – a truly remarkable save

Runner-up: ELLIOTT GOLD (Woodford Wanderers) - headed off the line and over the bar to keep the score at 2-0 when we were under the kosh

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "I would like to apologise for my over-zealous touchline behaviour. In not so many words, I wanted my players to know that I believed in them, that we were the better side and that Raiders B could not live us. That passion was, at times, misplaced"

- ADAM KLEIN (ML Lions A) - QUOTE 2 - "James Gold must have backed himself to score a brace this morning, it’s the only explanation for him not walking away with the match ball"

- ADAM KLEIN (ML Lions A) - QUOTE 2 - "We were so comfortable at the end I even gave myself a run out for the last 5 minutes for the first time since my broken ankle. I did everything other than touch the ball"

- DAN SHAFRON (Real Sosobad) - " Barry Kane, he's one of our own"

- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "Oakwood were superb down both flanks and gave our full backs a torrid time – in my opinion they are the best team we have played this year and this was a great advert for our under-fire league with both teams battling it out in a high quality encounter and refusing to give in"

- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - "Having now played Hendon twice in the league, wish Hendon all the best for the rest of the league campaign and thank David for his nice post-match words"

- JEFF GOTCH (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) - "A special mention to Adam Jacobs - he's struggled to get starts this season and has come on as a sub in most games, like he did Sunday, but he was the first to be with Yarden and stayed with him the whole way through. He's a proper legend in Catford's eyes and the world needs more of him around! Just shows how important it is to have a good squad where everyone gets along"

CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI P MACCABI LONDON LIONS B P
Match postponed after 86 minutes due to an injury to Catford's Yarden Sharon following a "nasty clash of heads" which left him with a deep cut directly above his right eye.

Catford player-manager Jeff Gotch told JC Sport: "It was a hefty collision and he was pretty dazed.

"WE made the decision to not move him and let the paramedics deal with it on their arrival. Therefore we had no choice to cancel the game although there were only four minutes left.

"It was a shame as after missing eight first teamers, we put in a real shift and in truth although Lions had the majority of possession - just like they did in the first game where we won 4-1 - we looked the more likely team to snatch it at the end after going very close on several occasions.

"Anyway, I'm waiting to hear whether the whole game gets replayed or just the final five minutes! Either way I was very proud of how both teams handled it, and the care and support given by a member of the Lions set up who, I do not know his name, was remarkable."

DC Prediction: Catford 1 Lions 4
