JC GOAL THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- MARC WOOLFE (NL Raiders C) - fantastic team move by Raiders saw Dan Tan whip a cross in from the right where Alex Elf won it and chested it to Woolfe on the edge of the box who volleyed the ball into the net off the underside of the crossbar - a proper team goal
- ZAK McLEOD (Scrabble FC) - two weeks running now but a 40-yard dipping shot from McLeod that gave the FC Team keeper no chance
- JOSH BLOOM (ML Lions B) - if this goal doesn’t get goal of the season, let alone goal of the week, the system must be rigged! Sammy Kingston took a corner on the right-hand side of the box, and the ball was headed out to Jamie Kyte just outside the box on the right, who volleyed a cross with the outside of his foot. The ball came towards Bloom who performed what can only be described as a flying scorpion kick, connecting with the ball flush on the back of his heel sending it into the top right hand corner. Not a single man on the pitch could believe what they witnessed. The referee then jokingly threatened Bloom after his celebration by saying “I’m awarding you a yellow card because you’re just not allowed to score goals like that!”. It was truly awesome. I guess Zlatan Ibrahimovic now has company with scorpion kick goals. I preferred Blooms!
- LORIAN MADANES (FC Team B) - 20-yard free-kick took one step run up and curled into top corner
- RICHARD SALMON - 15-pass move finished off by Salmon
- DAVID WOOLMAN (Oakwood A) - GOAL 1 - was outstanding from his left foot into the top corner. Outstanding striker and worth of any goal of the week award
- DAVID WOOLMAN (Oakwood A) - GOAL 3 - third goal to take the March ball. Took it down on the left wing, brought it inside on to his right foot and banged it into the top corner from 20 yards
- ALEX AVIRAM (Woodford Wanderers) - lit the touchpaper against Oakwood with "certainly one of the best goals we have scored this season"
- BRETT SCHUMAN (Boca Jewniors) - sensational 30-yard half-volley against Faithfold
- JOE COHEN (Faithfold B) - after some neat defensive work, Daniel Kosky claimed a high ball and threw it out to Joe Cohen on the left touchline. Just inside his own half, Joe had two men in green and white stripes breaking ahead of him, both shadowed by a defender. Thanks to Kosky's quick reactions, Faithfold were in a promising 3v2 situation. Joe carried the ball 15 yards into the opponents half, cut onto his right foot and unleashed a blinder into the top right hand corner of the net. With the keeper stranded near the penalty spot, all he could do was watch the ball sail over his head. Certainly nothing the keeper could do about that one and not the kind of goal we would expect to see every week! It came much to the relief of the Faithfold outfit who were under pressure at 1-0 from a good Los Blancos team

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "Although I'm a little miffed with their first goal being awarded (goal-line technology would have been handy!), I have to praise the referee today Callum Foster. No disrespect to the other referees, but it was great to have someone who had the fitness to keep up with the game and not give decisions from 40 yards away from the incident"
- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - "We now move on to what will be a very tough Morrison tie with Lions' Saturday team where we wait to hear from the club doctor on the latest from the treatment room. We will be keeping tight-lipped all the way up to kick-off"
- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "We have responded just as we would have wanted since the Oakwood debacle scoring a whopping 17 goals in two games and we are nicely set up for two massive weeks against our old mates from Redbridge"
- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "As for Woodford, fair play to them. I know how highly they rate us because every time we play one another Mitch Hahn rocks up"
- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - "A big thank you to Jeff Gotch who I know had to work very hard to get a squad together and that was appreciated"

RAMPANT REDBRIDGE SHOW BLIZZARD WHAT FOUR
BLIZZARD STORM 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 4
Redbridge once again reduced the gap at the top to five points after goals from Dean Nyman, Danny Hakimi, James Berkley and man of the moment Sam Sollosi eased them past Blizzard.
Avi Markewitz grabbed a consolation for Blizzard.
RJC manager Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "Another three points and now a two-week challenge of Hendon in the League and the Morrison so all to play for."
Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We executed a very good game-plan this morning, once again - just like the recent Hendon and Lions game we did ever so well until the hour mark but unfortunately failed to keep a hold on the game and Redbridge showed why they are second in the table.
DC Prediction: Blizzard 1 Redbridge 4

FABULOUS FEHLER HITS LIONS FOR SIX
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 9 MACCABI LONDON LIONS A 0
An incredible six-goal salvo from DOVI FEHLER saw Hendon avenge November's defeat against Lions by teaching the boys from Rowley Lane a lesson in a 9-0 procession.
Further strikes from Avi Korman (2) and Simon Peterman added the gloss on a memorable day for David Garbacz's men.
Hendon stand-in boss Greg Corin told JC Sport: "We were absolutely superb across the park. We played with fantastic pace and scored some great goals."
Lions joint-manager David Pollock told JC Sport: "Hendon were mature and ruthless throughout -you give them a chance and they murder you. They were far superior to us in every department, and I don't think there was a deliberate foul or argument the whole game."
DC Prediction: Hendon 2 Lions 1

WONDERFUL WOOLMAN LEADS TEAM A MERRY DANCE
FC TEAM A 2 OAKWOOD A 6
A fab four-goal salvo from DAVE WOOLMAN helped Oakwood warm-up for the Peter Morrison quarter-finals with an impressive 6-2 win over FC Team.
Further strikes from Brad Wine and Dan Rose completed the rout.
Oaks joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport; "It was a good win against a team that have caused us problems in the past, but we stayed focused despite constant provocation and a flag going up every time we crossed the halfway line."
FC Team boss Ben Gilbey told JC Sport: "We had a very stripped back team today with a lot of players missing. There was only 11 of us and Shim Bensoor in goal. The game was competitive throughout and it was only in the last 20 that Oakwood ran away with it scoring three times."
DC Prediction: Team 1 Oakwood 2

WILY WOODFORD CHOP OAKS DOWN TO SIZE
OAKWOOD B 1 WOODFORD WANDERERS 2
Woodford Wanderers took a major step towards the title with victory over promotion rivals Oakwood in St. Albans.
Super-sub Andy Levy was the match-winner in a game where Oakwood were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Daniel Selwyn after 30 minutes. Alex Aviram then put Woodford ahead with a screamer before Daniel Seligman levelled things up. But Levy had the final word to send the east Londoners clear at the top.
Woodford joint-manager Daryl Kay told JC Sport: "We didn't dominate the game as much as we would have liked to, but just about did enough to deserve the victory."
Oakwood boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "I thought we played well. I thought we showed a lot of courage and fight. Playing with 10 men for that long is very, very hard. The way we dug in, first to get to half time at 0-0, and then to drag ourselves back into it from 1-0 down was fantastic to see. My disappointment stems from us then losing the game, because we'd done the hard part by equalising."
DC Prediction: Oakwood 2 Woodford 1

FAITHFOLD TWO GOOD FOR BLANCOS
FAITHFOLD B 2 LOS BLANCOS 0
Faithfold B maintained their excellent run of form as strikes from Jamie Kent and Joe Cohen steered them to a 2-0 success over Los Blancos.
Superhoops boss Rob Shooman told JC Sport: "Both teams missed chances but we were lucky to have taken a couple of ours to secure the points."
DC Prediction: Faithfold 3 Blancos 1

MAJESTIC MADANES HELPS TEAM STRIKE GOLD
REAL SOSOBAD 2 FC TEAM B 9

It was a memorable day for Mitch Young's men with Adam Rones (2), Jon Breger (2), Richard Salmon and Andy Sheena putting the icing on the cake.
FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport; "We never looked in danger and hopefully this can be the start of our campaign to the top two places."

FIVE-STAR LIONS PUT BAUMS TO BED
ATHLETIC BILBAUM 0 MACCABI LONDON LIONS B 5
A goal of the season contender from Josh Bloom helped Lions B move towards promotion with a big statement of intent as they scored five times against Bilbaum at Market Road.
There were also goals from Nick Landesberg, Linden, Keller and own goal in an impressive display from Samuel Marchant's men.
Marchant told JC Sport: "We might not have been up to the same standards as a few weeks ago however that didn’t matter as we did what was required on the day, and kept a clean sheet which is always pleasing."
DC Prediction: Bilbaum 1 Lions 2

SCHMAN HELPS BOCA BOYS MAKE THEIR POINT
FAITHFOLD C 1 BOCA JEWNIORS 1
A late penalty from top-scorer Dan Gordon earned Faithfold the point manager David Garson felt they deserved, cancelling out an opener from Boca left-back Brett Schuman at the Hive.
Faithfold's David Garson told JC Sport: "Credit to Boca who defended for their lives once taking the lead - it certainly felt like despite waves and waves of attacks we would never score - their keeper made a great save and the woodwork was also their friend, but we got a point in the end which was in my view the least we deserved."
Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "Overall, we can be very proud of that performance and hopefully take some confidence from it into next week."
DC Prediction: Faithfold 1 Boca 0

SUPER SCRABBLE IN 7-HEAVEN
FC TEAM C 2 SCRABBLE FC 7
A four-goal blitz from top-scorer Zak McLeod ensured Scrabble FC ended the day in seventh heaven as they overpowered FC Team to put one-and-a-half hands on the title.
A brace from Danny Sherman plus one from captain marvel Josh Tiano sealed the job.
Eddie Sternberg and Freddie Marks scored in the last five minutes to salvage some pride for FC Team.
Jubilant Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport; "Our first half performance today was superb with the guys being clinical in the final third and dominating possession. It was a little disappointing to concede two late goals but we were always comfortable."
DC Prediction: Team 2 Scrabble 3

L'EQUIPE BEAT CATS, NOW THAT'S ANDY!
L’EQUIPE 1 CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI 0
Andy Smith fired the solitary goal as L'Equipe edged past the Cats.
L'Equipe boss Nick Stern told JC Sport: "A 1-0 victory was the minimum that we deserved and to see us keep a clean sheet was fantastic."
Cats player-manager Jeff Gotch told JC Sport: "To lose 1-0 against 11 men against a team at full strength was a credit to our club."
DC Prediction: L’Equipe 2 Catford 1

ROCK SOLID RAIDERS STAY ON TRACK
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B 0 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C 2
Raiders put last week's disappointing result behind them with a good 2-0 win at Chase Lodge.
Strikes from Marc Woolfe and Liam Stein plus a superb penalty save from keeper Grant Waissel completed a good morning's work.
Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "The only disappointment was that we didn't have a cutting edge in the final third, we had a lot of possession and set pieces in good positions but just couldn't make the breakthrough."
DC Prediction: Hendon 1 Raiders 2
