JACOBS UPGRADED AT REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE
Having proved that it is possible to win something with kids, Jon Jacobs has been promoted to A-team manager following a successful spell leading Redbridge Jewish Care B.

Jacobs, who is also club chairman, has stepped up following the resignation of Sam Rosenthal and he will bring the majority of his MGBSFL Division One title-winning squad with him, along with some of the older heads for the existing squad.

Jason Goldstein has been appointed manager of RJC B. He will bring across members of the KS Reunited squad as well as introducing some new faces.

Goldstein, who has a Uefa B coaching badge, has been coaching for more than 10 years and has worked with several semi-professional and grass-roots clubs.

RJC vice-chairman Richard Bronzite said: “Everyone at the club is excited by the changes and we can’t wait for season 2015/16 to kick-off.”

ALL CHANGE AT L'EQUIPE
Nick Stern has taken over the reigns from Josh Lewis at the mighty L'Equipe.

Stern will be supported by new head coach Dave Prager and a support staff including Mark Singer, Josh Lewis and Jules Bohm.

Stern told JC Sport: "We are extremely excited about the new season and having spent over 20 years playing Jewish football, I am excited about the challenge of management.

"What I will say is that there is no better opportunity than at L'Equipe where I have spent many years playing, and no better group of lads than at this fine club."

Stern is hopeful of announcing that Grant Bates and Dan Fisher will join from Maccabi Lions, and he was delighted to cement the futures of Smith brothers Andy and Mark. Stern added: "Andy even hopes to break Richard Fogelman’s goal scoring record, one that many thought will never be beaten.

We are also looking at a couple other signings to strengthen the squad but still never losing the ethos of L Equipe where I still believe we are the only team in all the leagues that don’t argue, and actually enjoy playing football with each other and seeing each other off the field.

Here’s to another successful season where we finally aim to put some silverware in the cabinet of L'Equipe.
