JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. YONI RAEBURN (Faithfold A) - stunning 30-yard strike into the top corner from the left
2. BARRY GREEN (Real Sosobad) - a stunning volley from the edge of the area
3. CHARLIE KASLER (ML Lions Spartans) - stunning 25-yard right-footed shot broke the deadlock in Leeds
4. MATT FROHLICH (Brady Maccabi) - Phenomenal team goal. Started with the goalkeeper, worked out of the back and wide and then back into midfield, where very neat inter-play saw two one-twos set Reiss Mogilner free on goal where he squared it to Frohlich to walk the ball into the net. Seven Brady players touched the ball. Tiki-taka football at its scintillating best

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

---------------------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. CLIVE NATHAN (AC Whetstone) - ""What epitomised the spirit of the club today was our two unused subs; Sammy Corper and Josh Silverman. They are both defenders and stalwarts of the club. Despite being desperate to play, it was Sammy who came up to Anthony and I to say "don't worry about me - stick a forward on - we need the goals." What a gesture from an 18-year-old. We gave him man of the match for that!"
2. JAMIE KYTE (Lions Blue) - "David Kosky is looking to ply his trade outfield and will likely drop down a few divisions to find a team that can accommodate him"
3. DAN SHAFRON (Real Sosobad) - "Special mention to Barry Kane who was unstoppable up top and scored a great hat-trick. He's one of our own!"
4. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "The season is far from over for us- we will brush ourselves down - eat a few Matzos and the herbs will certainly taste more bitter than usual, but then we will be ready for revenge against Raiders in the Anekstein final and we will be looking for a cup double in the Morrison as well"
5. ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - QUOTE 1 - "It would be remiss of me not to mention Hendon. Treble winners for two of the last three seasons, an exceptionally talented group who I fully hope and expect go all the way in the Morrison. They played their part in an enthralling game. They lost a lot of important players in the summer yet seem to be stronger than last year. It was a great battle with them last season and it's been even more so this season. They will be looking for revenge in the cup final but we will be ready for everything they have up their sleeves, mind games and all!
6. ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - QUOTE 2 - "I didn't have a good view of the penalty incident as it was on the other side from where I was standing. But I don't think Neil Cooper got many decisions wrong all game, he's one of the best in the league so if he said it wasn't a penalty then that's good enough for me"
6. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 1 - "I think there was some frustration on the part of Team C at the end of the game , but I'd like to thank them for being accommodating in the build-up to the game. When they felt their home pitch would be unplayable, they informed me straight and paid for our home pitch to be used thus ensuring the game went ahead. Not every team has done that this year, including some of their promotion rivals, but if all the league participants took the same attitude as Team C then it would be an even better spectacle. Credit to them"
7. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 2 - "It's Raiders B now and we're fully focused. In the same way the Jews were led out of Egypt, I hope I can lead Oakwood B to the semi final."
8. ZURIEL SOLOMON (Faithfold A) - "I want to say a big thanks to all the boys who played today who were brilliant and gave me a final win on an emotional day"
9. ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - QUOTE 3 - "I just wanted to congratulate Zuriel on an outstanding stint at Faithfold. He is the epitome of all that is good with the league and a credit to Faithfold. Well done mate, enjoy your free Sunday mornings!"

RAIDERS CLOSE IN ON TITLE
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 2 NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS A 3
Norstar London Raiders A require just one point from their final two matches after winning a five-goal thriller against defending champions Hendon, with an own goal from Ben Kon handed L'Orange a famous victory.

Jordan Marks got Raiders off to a flyer, capitalising on excellent work from Matt Stock to lash home the opener. Hendon turned the game on its head at the start of the second half, with Dovi Fehler and Ben Kon registering within minutes of the restart.

Raiders levelled moments later when Stock produced a close-range finish, before the unfortunate Kon deflected a dangerous cross from the impressive Liron Mannie into his own net.

Raiders now require just a point from their matches against Neasden and FC Team to secure their first-ever Premier Division title.

NLR boss Rob Richman told JC Sport: "We have a few weeks grace now but we will be fully focused on making sure we secure at least the point we need at the earliest opportunity."

Hendon boss David Garbacz was magnanimous in defeat and admitted the best team won on the day. He told JC Sport: "We gave it our best shot today but we have to concede the better team won on the day - they were too quick for us and just that little bit stronger and for us we needed everyone to perform at the top of their abilities and that just didn't happen."

FAITHFOLD A 2 NORTH WEST NEASDEN 1
Faithfold gave outgoing manager Zuriel Solomon the perfect leaving present, as Yoni Raeburn and Daryl Phillips hit the target in a 2-1 victory over Neasden.

Solomon told JC Sport: "It was an emotional day after calling time on managing Faithfold A. We dominated, but fell behind, although we battled on against a team that were happy to play 11 men behind the ball.

"Finally, I just want to say a big thanks to all the boys who played today who were brilliant and gave me a final win on an emotional day."

WOODFORD WANDERERS 1 MACCABI LONDON LIONS BLUE 4
Lions registered their fifth league win of the season in a result that all but confirm Woodford are down.

Will Beresford got on the score-sheet twice, Franks once and James Peter with his first touch of the game

Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "It was a great way to end the season. The first half was poor and we didn't get out of first gear. Second half was a completely different matter. James Gold ran riot down the wings assisting with 3 of the goals whilst Arghebant and Franks pulled the string in the middle of the park."

Barry Goldstein quarter-finalists Oakwood B recorded one of the results of the weekend as they dented FC Team C's promotion push in an eight-goal thriller.

Team must now beat Mill Hill next week in what is effectively a second place playoff.

Oakwood boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "The win against one of the so-called 'better sides' was confirmation of our improvement since the New Year. That's five wins in a row now and seven wins in the last nine. It shows our true form. That is a great achievement and we're all delighted."

Shacharit Donetsk completed a league double over Boca Jewniors, with that man ADAM ELLIS smashing home yet another hat-trick.

Shacharit boss Elliot Nussbaum told JC Sport: "Under very difficult conditions, we led the first half 1-0 although we knew this was not good enough as we would be playing against the wind - which was considerable - in the second half.
