JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. GAB SAUL (Hendon B) - a crisp left-foot strike from just outside the box which fizzed in off the post, the Temple Fortune keeper didn't move
2. TOMER TRICOT (AC Whetstone) - sublime diving header was the highlight against L'Equipe
3. DAVID SEITLER (Hendon A) - picked the ball up in his own half ran past two before cutting inside and lobbing the keeper from 18 yards - great finish from a quality player
4. SIMEON COHEN (Jewdinese) - "a sick effort" against Oakwood B

---------------------------------
---------------------------------

DANNY CARO'S SAVE OF THE WEEK
YAAKOV GOLDIN (London Rovers) - with the game at 2-2, NLR's Marc Woolfe sent a fierce drive from eight yards heading towards the corner of the net. With the ball seemingly behind Goldin and going in, with the Raiders players beginning to celebrate and Jeremy Brown's head in his hands, Goldin somehow diving low and backwards arching his back, palmed the ball around the post for a corner. It won't be an exaggeration to say that pretty much both sets of players and Neal Cohen who was ref, were in complete awe of what had just been witnessed. Brown is not sure he's "seen a better save on a Sunday morning"

---------------------------------
---------------------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "I told Benni Sluckis at the beginning of the game I expected a hat-trick from him, and fair play to him he duly obliged"
2. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "Delighted with the win given we found ourselves 3-0 down. Some would say it's the greatest comeback since Likud somehow returned to power. I couldn't possibly comment though"
3. CLIVE NATHAN (AC Whetstone) - "We now look forward to the last ever game for AC Whetstone. Anthony and I will be working on the team talk this week and trying not to cry as we do so!"
4. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "Everyone is thrilled, except for my missus, that is as it is her 50th birthday on the bank holiday weekend of the final, and we were supposed to be going away - how do you fancy the Holiday Inn in Wingate, darling, instead?"
5. STIRLING KAY (Neasden) - "I would like to wish David and his Hendon team all the best for the final; their attitude and behaviour during and after the game was first-class"
6. STUART DELMONTE (AFC Flixton) - "We want to play Hendon as I feel we owe them one. It’s a case of unfinished business from last season"
7. ROB SHOOMAN (Faithfold B) - "Although we won 4-3, and it was an end of season game, it was a cracking contest with both teams going for it. You would have thought it was a title-decider, played in the best spirit, with no bad tackles. The football was end-to-end and superbly controlled by Martin Lavender"

FLIXTON TWO GOOD FOR TEAM

AFC Flixton moved into the semi-finals of the Jewish FA Cup as strikes in the final third of the tie from top-scorer Leor Sidle and Michael Sacks steered them past second division champions FC Team B.

FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "With a depleted squad, my team gave everything on the day. We frustrated Flixton all the way up to the 75th-minute. I am proud of the efforts and on another day with a bigger squad we probably would have caused more of a threat.

Proud NWN manager Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "As a cup tie goes, this was a classic which I was so proud of my players' part in it. They were truly superb."

SIMON MOSES ended Blizzard's hopes of an appearance at Wingate, leaving a final day showdown against Mill Hill to find out who joins SPEC FC in the last eight. Adam Hersh completed a good morning's work for Blancos.

Blizzard boss Simon Linden described match-winner Moses as the difference between the teams. He told JC Sport: "It wasn't to be our day, Blancos deserved to win the match - Moses has been a revelation for them in the second half of the season.

"It's disappointing to go out the cup, but how four of the top six seeds were drawn together I'll never know. However, we should have done better over the three games and there's no excuses.

"I'm happy with how our season went considering the injuries and the fact I didn't have a consistent keeper for the entire campaign. We only missed out on promotion by three points.

"We can build on this season, bring in a few new players and put together a squad that can compete and have a serious promotion push next season. Good luck to Blancos - a great bunch of guys."
