DANNY CARO'S GOAL OF THE WEEK - BEN WINTERS
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. NICKY WOOLF (NL Raiders B) - stunning last-minute equaliser - a fantastic 25-yard chest and volley - to spare Raiders blushes against Brixton
2. DAVE SEITLER (Hendon A) - GOAL 1 - chested down then superb first time volleyed strike from 25 yards into top corner - sensational strike
4. BEN LAUFFER(Hendon A) - 25 yards out and with his back to goal, turned and produced a Cantona-esque strike into top corner, just five minutes after coming on to the pitch
5. BEN WINTERS (ML Lions Green) - Think Ronaldinho vs Chelsea in 2005, with ball at his feet 25 yards out, bent the ball with the outside of his boot into the top corner without any backlift. Utterly brilliant
6. JACOB KADOCH (King Crown) - GOAL 1 - controlled the ball 30 yards out before spinning to his left and smashing a stunning shot into the right-hand corner
7. ADAM HERSH (Los Blancos) - a "nice" 20-yarder against Blizzard
8. DAVID KHALASTCHI (Camden Park) - coming in from the left, he flicked the ball over the defender's head and then calmly slotted the ball passed the keeper into the far corner
9. RICHARD SILVER (Camden Park) - after playing a neat one-two with Jake Saunders on the right-hand side, he strode past a defender cutting in onto his stronger left foot, opened up his body and curled the ball in the far left bottom corner, from 25 yards out

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "I've been banging on about this kid [David Seitler) for a few weeks now, but if there has ever been a better hat trick scored at this level then I'd love to have seen it"
2. ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "If we'd thrown that game away, Chanukah would have been cancelled this year"
3. DAN SHAFRON (Real Sosobad) - "The King Crown keeper pulled off some quality saves throughout the match and he should be getting an extra big Chanukah present this year, especially if they manage to go the rest of the season unbeaten"
4. VIV EMANUEL (London Rovers) - "If you had said to me at the beginning of the season we would be top, I think I might have bitten of your hand to hear that. But here we are!"
5. MAX SAUNDERS (Camden Park) - "The table still doesn’t look great as a result of our poor November if only we could replay those games with a full squad!"
6. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "I do genuinely believe that we have one of the best XIs in the league, but the squad has been thin in areas. I've been in board meetings all day and I've been handed some tzedekah - a £20 Whitehouse voucher, eight chocolate gold coins and a VIP Seder experience - to bring some new players in during the transfer window. It looks like we're going to ship three out and I'd like to bring four or five new faces in. My phone will be busy and the Jewish Chronicle totaliser won't be able to keep up!"
7. BEN GILBEY (FC Team A) - "We are still a new team and it is our first year in the Premier Division, we are getting better every week and are certainly a team to be feared"

And it could have been even better had it not been for a last-minute wonder strike from Nicky Woolf that got Raiders out of jail.

NLR boss Jonathan Adelman told JC Sport: "We had lots of the ball, but weren't incisive or clinical enough. I'd have had no complaints if we'd lost today and the 10 missing players are no excuse."
