LONDON FA SUNDAY CHALLENGE CUP
BRADY MACCABI 2 PUTNEY FC 1
Brady Maccabi put their league form behind them as they played their first ever game in the London FA Sunday Challenge Cup, and came out worthy winners against a very organised Putney team.
Missing a number of regular players, Brady dominated the majority of the game and should taken the lead after some great chances but they failed to capitalise, and they were punished when they fell behind five minutes before the break when Sam Lipton put the ball into his own net, with the Putney forward waiting to slot it home.
Brady came out with great intent at the start of the second half and after five successive corners, Lipton smashed home from the edge of the box. Brady continued to press and were awarded a penalty 10 minutes later after a handball and captain Ricky Rinder slotted home. Brady should then have put the game to bed but missed three one-on-ones, and despite a late onslaught Brady held out for a much-deserved win.
Delighted Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "Next week we return to MGBSFL action and this will give us the confidence we need to start moving up the table."

Jonti Aremband, Chaim Korman and Rocky Spitzer scored as Hendon United opened a six-point gap at the top of the table after beating Faithfold 3-0.
Hendon manager Jordan Sapler missed the match, but he told JC Sport: "It’s a shame that Faithfold were once again supposedly under strength for a game agusainst, it always seems to happen when they play us and I can’t understand why a top of the table clash would see so many players pull out when they are available for other games."
Faithfold player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "Last night at midnight, we had nine men. I genuinely thought I was going to have to call the game off. Thankfully with a bunch of phone calls we managed to get 11 men and a big thanks to those that stepped up last minute. Hendon were worth the win and played well however I was very pleased with my men out there today. We worked really hard and were up against it from the start. We matched the best team in Jewish football in game-plan for 85 minutes and the lads did themselves proud."

Defences dominated as Los Camden and HMH finished honours even in a rare MGBSFL goalless draw.
Los Camden manager Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "The lads were able to get stuck in and defend solidly like we have all season. With the chances we created especially in the second half, I’m upset we couldn’t get another late winner."
HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "Today was a feisty but drab affair as both teams saw out 0-0 draw on a tight school kids' pitch. We had two 'goals' from Ethan Krell both chalked off for offside, one either side of half-time and Alex Moss hit the bar in the first half but LC has a few chances as well, particularly in the second half and hit the post."

Rob Hershkorn (2) and Louis Couque led Los Camden to a thrilling win to move to within a point of Bayern, with two games in hand, in a game where Joe Levy was the star performer.
Bayern's goals came through Jake Dayan and Philipe Auret.
Los Camden's Richard Hayim went on to say: "We’ve had a rocky start since the beginning of the campaign, losing games we never deserved to lose and missing players in vital positions-mainly centre backs and central midfielders. Today the players have shown that they can challenge in this league against good teams.

Galaxy won the north London derby 2-0, thanks to strikes from Josh Shack and Josh Cohen, exacting revenge for their heavy recent defeat in the cup.
Galaxy chief Luke Lewis told JC Sport: "Fantastic attitude from everyone involved. Showing the league what we are capable of."
Raiders joint-manager Jake Yudelowitz told JC Sport: "It was a disappointing performance from everyone involved. Galaxy played well to be fair, but we never got going."

Jewdinese returned to winning ways as they registered an impressive victory over promotion rivals Oakwood B, with goals from Zac Brin and a penalty from James Ross.

More than 100 spectators were in attendance as Essex rivals Redbridge A and Fairlop shared the points after a hard-fought battle at 7 Kings.
After a goalless first half, Brad Gayer put the visitors in front only for RJC to level via an acrobatic volley from Dean Ben Yosef.
Fairlop boss Aaron Dias was adamant his team had the better of things, and told JC Sport: "Redbridge will know they are lucky to come away with a draw and had we been more clinical in the first half, it would have been a cricket score."
RJC manager Sam Rank told JC Sport: "Following today's draw, it just means the return fixture will end up being a title game, and with a few returning superstars this will give us the edge and the title."

A brilliant brace from Motty Korman helped Faithfold B boost their title hopes as they returned to winning ways with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Raiders Masters.
Lolu Hibbert and an own goal completed the scoring for Faithfold.
Faithfold's Doron Shooter told JC Sport: "We're very happy with the three points, after a disappointing few weeks. The game was played at a very high intensity until we scored our third goal, at which point the sting was taken out of the game. We now look forward to next week's game against SPEC.”

Fortune overpowered Faithfold C in the basement battle, in what was a much-needed win for Simon Linden's men, with goals from Max Martin, Danny Sherman, Gab Stone, Jacobs Kalms and Simon Cohen.
Jubilant Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We're very pleased to get three points in the bag. Hopefully we can get a run going before the turn of the year. We need to move our way up the table quickly. Next week is all about revenge on Scrabble who beat us last time out."

HERTSWOOD VALE 4 SPEC FC 2
James Millet and Ben Mandel scored two apiece as Hertswood Vale maintained their two-point lead at the summit as they completed a league double over SPEC FC.
Josh Green and top-scorer Zack Neiman replied for SPEC.
Vale joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "It was another cracking game against an entertaining SPEC side, but unlike the previous match against them, this one was a much more fiery encounter as both teams gave it there all. Once again, we’ve had to come from behind to win in the league this season. Don’t get me wrong, it makes for a better game, but I’d much rather the boys won 1-0 every week!"
SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "It was a really good game but one that again we’ve come away empty-handed from. In fairness, Vale's third goal was a great finish and worthy of winning any game. The final goal came as we pushed for an equaliser in the last seconds. We’ll attempt to stop the rot against Faithfold B next week.”

SCRABBLE FC B 1 FC TEAM 5
A deadly double from Josh Morris saw FC Team moved into the top five as they produced a five-star showing against Scrabble B.
Further strikes from Mitch Young, Richard Salmon and Connor Perl added the gloss for one of the league most potent sides.
Victorious FC Team player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "Another victory, so I am pleased, especially as we played the game with a lot of injured players. Salmon, Connor and myself all played with minor injuries, and this was evident in the first half. We still had enough quality to score five goals and outclass them in the second half, but they put in a strong first-half performance. We are now moving up the table nicely and we look forward to keep this winning run going for as long as possible."
Scrabble's consolation came through Lloyd Becker. Player-manager Jon Yantin told JC Sport: "We conceded two soft early goals within the opening ten minutes before sorting ourselves out and pulling one back before half-time. However, a soft penalty decision against me followed by two more goals finished the old boys off."
