An Alex Lee double guided Maccabi 1st into the last 16 of the Manchester County Cup following a 3-1 success over The Clarendon. Ryan Silvester added the gloss.

Maccabi manager Martin Simons said: "The boys were fantastic today. Their work-rate and willingness to work for each other was second to none. Reaching the last 16 is a fantastic achievement for this club."

BEN GOULD fired a hat-trick as Manchester Maccabi 2nd shared hte points after an extraordinary 10-goal thriller against Chorlton. Adam Herman and a last-ditch finish from Paul Claydon were South's other scorers.

MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION

LEEDS MACCABI 1 HEATON PARK ROVERS 1
Dan Kristall accused HPR of sour grapes following late drama in the Pennines as HPR had a late winner ruled out in the top-of-the-table clash against Leeds.

Jonathan Franks had put HPR ahead with an early opener that was cancelled out by Leeds captain Gidi Amar.

Leeds manager Daniel Kristall said: “You take the rough with the smooth when it comes to decisions."

HPR boss Dan Seligman told JC Sport: "The ref bottled the decision and that was mainly due to the pressure he was put on under on the touchline."

SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS CLUB 2nd 0 HAROLDEANS 5
Haroldeans produced a five-star show as Adam Shiffman bagged a hat-trick for the second successive week.

The red-hot Shiffman hit the target four times, with Ali Goldsmith added the gloss.

Haroldeans boss Jamie Harris said: "This was another outstanding performance from the lads against tough opposition.
