A five-goal bonanza from Gideon Barnett eased Lions to victory over Marshside. Further strikes from Darren Dryer (2), Danny Schindler, Paul Buxton and Ory Halperin completed the rout.

Brady registered their fourth consecutive victory, with first-half strikes from Scott Ansher, Steve Moss (2) and Laurence Beck clinching the points against St John’s Wood Tigers. Trailing 0-4 at the break, goals from Jonny Feinmesser and Adam Soller replied for the Tigers.

Temple Fortune recorded their first win of the campaign, as they edged out Brady B 4-3, thanks to two goals apiece from James Ryan and Dean Ingram. John Nesbitt (2) and Gary Rose replied for Brady.

Fortune were indebted to stand-in goalkeeper Graham Meyer, covering for the unavailable Serge Weinberger, who saved a penalty late in the game, after replacing the injured Joel Davis in goal for the spot-kick.

Victorious manager Andy Montlake commented: "We hung on for a deserved three points. Everyone played their part in the second half and a good team performance."
