London Lions maintained their Herts Senior County League title hopes with a hard fought 3-3 draw against Cuffley on Tuesday night.
Playing their fifth match in an exhausting 10-day spell, two goals from top-scorer Adam Stolerman plus another from Dean Nyman helped them move to within five points of leaders Baldock Town Letchworth with three games in hand.
Lions boss Tony Gold said: “The amount of games we are playing is starting to take its toll on players. Not even the professionals play this much football and it's only getting tougher.
“The injuries we have is a joke as well. However, all remaining fixtures are now up. If we are going to win this league it will be done the hard way.”
