Foresters won the toss and took the unusual step of batting first under blue skies but with heavy rain forecast. They reached 52-2 off 15 overs when the thunderstorm came and when the weather relented only had another eight overs available to bat.

During that time they added 75 to take their total to 127. Pick of the bowlers was David Cohen with 2-31.
