FC TEAM A 0 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 3
David Garbacz says Hendon overcame a potential banana skin as they extended their lead at the top thanks to Avi Korman's double in the 3-0 success at FC Team A.
Simon Peterman sealed the victory as Hendon boosted their treble hopes by completing a hat-trick of wins of FC Team A this season.
Hendon were excellent, particularly in the first half, with Simon Peterman winning everything in the middle and for the most part, they kept the ball on the deck and kept good possession.
The visitors were 2-0 up before the break and the goal they scored just before half time would have been a real hammer blow for Team. Korman registered two more goals to further enhanced his ever growing reputation.
Team enjoyed more possession in the second half, but Hendon keeper Russell Corin was rarely stretched, as the Hendon defence dealt with anything that came their way .
Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We put in an excellent professional performance today. Once again we were down to 11, with Greg Corin pulling out at the last minute yet we still managed to control the game and never really looked likely to concede.
"We saw the game out well and what could have been a potential banana skin with all our players out turned into a nice win in the end.
"FC Team did well after half time and as usual battled hard - 3/3 now for us against them this year with one more to go but it's never totally comfortable.
"I'm really proud of this squad - week on week out whoever plays always gives all for the shirt and all for the ultimate aim of winning trophies.
"Five games to go and everything still in our hands, which is how we like it. Roll on next week."
