Two goals from Michael Kenley helped Brady moved on to six points after edging a five-goal thriller at Rowley Lane.

Although the young Brady team were not at their best, they edged home thanks to a late penalty in a game where Sam Monjack was their other scorer.

Oakwood's goals came through Brad Wine and Dan Ash.

Brady joint-manager Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "I wasn't at the first half, but this was a great win against a strong team. It was great having Matt Sofier back today and he helps the young kids around him so much.

"We now look forward to next week against Camden Park and we will have more boys back so team selection will be tough."

Oakwood joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "We can play so much better than we did on Sunday. We didn't create anything in the second half and - though it was even - I find myself accepting the draw as a decent result. I've never thought that before watching Oakwood.

"Having equalised with the last kick of the first half through Dan Ash, I fully expected us to kick on and perform. We didn't. We were guilty of over-playing all over the park and there were too many mis-controls and poor passes. The boys know - there's no point me banging on about it.

"Brady were solid if unspectacular and they probably would have been happy with a draw too given the non-event that the second half was. The penalty itself in injury time was not a penalty for me. But I'm not going to get on my high horse about diving. It doesn't offend me as much as it does some. More important was that we gave the ball away by dallying on the ball and over playing in our own box. This is what we have to learn from - instead of raging against a perceived injustice. And we will.

Good luck to Brady. They've got some good young players it's great to see coming through. I hope those lads stick at it."
