NOMINATIONS
SCRABBLE FC
Ben Law (GK) - a number of world-class saves to deny L'Equipe ... superb. Three clean sheets in a row
Dan Green (CM) - at the heart of a real physical battle and came out on top
Jonathan Peters (S) - didn't stop battling against a tough defence
Adam Waters (CB) - so solid at the heart of the Scrabble defence
Danny Sherman (S) - yet another great battling performance from the big man
Elliot Espinoza (CM) - controlled the game at his pace as our playmaker. Superb performance
----------------------
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A
Zac Lewis (S) - an unbelievable hat-trick of huge quality and one of the best all-round performances seen at this level
Simon Peterman (CM) - the old war horse slug it out for 120 minutes and put in a truly immense central midfield performance
Russ Corin (GK) - had a baby girl on Friday night then had the worst 30 minutes I've ever seen him have followed by a brilliant second half and some astonishing saves in the shootout - a true Hendon hero
----------------------
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A
Ben Sollosi (M) - midfield general for Redbridge and his tackling was Gerrard-esque and he just kept going
Zack Lewis (HENDON) - three goals and looked superb throughout
----------------------
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B
David Cohen (CB) - first time in RJC B shirt for a few months. Never looked liked he had been away. A cool, calm and calculated performance
Scott McKenzIe (LB) - one of the most composed players in team. Linked up very well with the LM and defended and attacked very well
Daniel Bean (CM) - powerhouse, his workrate was outstanding, and the Blancos midfield could not handle him
Richie Caplin (LM_ - a real livewire. Had the Los Blancos right back in his pocket and contributed with a couple of assists
Sam Moss (AM) - on just his second start for club, tucked away two goals effortlessly
David Dobrin (S) - on his debut for the team, was a superb target man. Held up the ball very well and brought other players into play. The missing link from the RJC B team has been found
David Fialka (S) - came off the bench and was a real nuisance for the Blonacs defence and finished off two very good teams goals
----------------------
OAKWOOD B
Dean Caplin (GK) - the first to admit he didn't cover himself in glory for the first goal, but responded with three absolutely incredible saves to more than make up for it. Credit to himself when many would have wilted
----------------------
REAL SOSOBAD
Richard Rosenthal (M) - came on at half time to provide the creative spark desperately needed and unlocked the Faithfold defence with three superb assists
Sam McCarthy (M) - his energy, power and enthusiasm is always second to none and he bossed the midfield today. Capped off his performance with a fantastic goal to put the team 2-0 up
----------------------
CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Adam Simon (GK) - great penalty save and commanded all game
Joel Isaacs (D) - colossus at back, marshalled the defence superbly
Jordan Grant (M) - ran his socks off and never say die attitude
----------------------
OAKWOOD A
Brad Wine (S) – such a power-house. As soon as he moved centrally in the second half, Camden had no answers
Lee Warner (LB/LW) – probably man-of-the-match. Got up and down the left hand side and set up the fourth goal superbly
Jordan Sherne (LB/CB) – very comfortable debut and an especially good second half at left-back
David Cohen (RB) - really good performance and put some brilliant crosses in from the right-hand side
----------------------
FC TEAM B
Rich Sternberg (RB) - another solid performance and getting used to a different position
Andy Sheena (S) - a constant threat, unlucky not to have scored more and worked hard
----------------------
L'EQUIPE
Mark Glucksman (GK) - penalty save in the first minute and then three or four world-class saves. Was clearly the best keeper on the pitch that day
David Prager (CB) - after six weeks off the man mountain David Prager rolled back the years with a vintage performance. Who knew his body could take any more?
----------------------
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C
Alex Sherr (CM) - the NLR utility player returned to his preferred midfield role and put in yet another outstanding display
Oli Nathan (CM) - asked to play a little deeper than usual, but again impressed as NLR were among the goals
----------------------
BRIXTON OLD BOYS
Johnny Borchardt - was handed the captaincy in honour of his idol and fellow compatriote Terry Wogan and he made a fine job of leading the team by example, so he did
