NOMINATIONS
BOCA JEWNIORS
Jamie Leboff (M) - tireless hard work
----------------------
HERTSWOOD VALE
Ben Davis (RB) – a fantastic game both defensively and offensively. Didn’t give their winger so much as a sniff. Grabbed his first goal for the Vale with a 25-yard screamer from the edge of the box
Ollie Brill (CB/CDM) – a solid defensive performance, didn’t put a foot wrong. Continuously frustrated the opposition from the midfield and later on, the defence
Adrian Leibovitch (CM) – unfortunate not to be named man-of-the-match. Controlled the play in the middle of the park, with incredible precision passing and constant desire from our vice-captain
Josh Cohen (RM) – enjoying a resurgence in his newly-found position on the wing with five goals in his last three games. Grabbed a class hat-trick and a goal-of-the-season contender to grab his second of the afternoon. 10 goals now for the season, as he looks to trump brother Zach for the golden boot. Man of the Match
-------------------------
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A
Ryan Cole (LB) - A magnificent performance, two assists for Garfinkle to score and a cross-field pass to Sam Sollosi which was the best pass Jon Jacobs has seen all season. He really should be playing at a higher level and was unplayable today. Man-of-the-match today by a distance
Sam Sollosi (M) - he never gets a mention because he is always good, but today he just delivered every time he was on the ball. Starting out wide, he is difficult to mark and makes things happen for the team, he is always double-marked which frees up other players and is a joy to watch
Daniel Garfinkle (RM) - playing out wide, he has been quiet this season but exploded today, his turbo-boost pace just unbelievable and he gave the Brady backline nightmares every time the ball was at his feet. His two goals were fitting of his performance
James Berkley (M) - very much the unmentioned jewel in the crown, he just gets on with his 8 out of 10 performance every week but today worked his socks off in the centre of the pitch and delivered a virtuoso performance
-----------------------
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C
Jonny Blain (S) - nominated for performance/team of the week and goal of the week - a goal scored immediately from the KO at the halfway line. Sublime!
-----------------------
MACCABI LONDON LIONS B
James Harpin (GK) - Kept his side in the game with a succession of fine saves when Finchley were threatening to go 3-0 up. At half-time the Finchley manager was overheard saying: "If it wasn't for their keeper we'd be out of sight now." Made a brilliant interception in second half - before Lions got on top
-----------------------
OAKWOOD B
Dan Geey (CM) - rolled back the years with an exquisite midfield performance
Rafi Bloom (F) - worked really hard up top and chased a lot of lost causes. Finished his penalty well
-----------------------
SCRABBLE FC
Rob Blackman (GK) - Surely has to be the keeper of the week. When we needed someone to step up he took on the job being usually an outfield player and made some important saves keeping a clean sheet
Adam Newman (D) - back for his first full game in a few months looked solid as a rock with clearances in the air and on the ground.Great distribution
Josh Pugh (CM) - brilliant vision and pinpoint passes split open the Faithfold defence on many occasions
Dan Green (CM) - the ball-winner ran for 90 minutes making many important tackles and blocks to stop the Faithfold attack
Elliot Espinoza (CAM) - in the No. 10 roll, back to his superb best working so well off big Danny Sherman the pair looked unplayable. Scored a magical opening goal for Scrabble to put them ahead
Danny Sherman (S) - every week the big man is unplayable and once again winning headers flick ins and important tackles to power forward and at times with his back to the goal unselfishly bringing his team-mates into play
-----------------------
CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Yarden Sharon (CM) - ran the game in cm and really put in an excellent 90 minutes
-----------------------
FINCHLEY CITY
Eli Davila (DM) - one of best individual performance all season. 100 per cent tackle completion and absolutely bossed the midfield
-----------------------
MACCABI LONDON LIONS A
REFEREE - Robert Benardout - "He did a very good job, controlling a very aggressive game and gave marching orders where necessary in order protect the safety of all of the players"
-----------------------
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A
Zac Lewis (S) – after a few quiet weeks right back to his mesmerising best. Scored the perfect hat trick – header, left foot right foot.
Simon Peterman (CM) - how he was missed in the recent Oakwood games. Exudes calmness and experience – never flusters
