MATCHDAY 8 REVIEW

----------------------

NOMINATIONS

HERTSWOOD VALE

Jack Shulman (GK) – making his first start of the season is his least favoured position, Jack’s experience and quality showed. He pulled off one of the saves of the season with a world-class reflex save and was unlucky to find himself on the losing side. Back to playing up top next week, Jack!

Ben Mandel (S) – With injuries to strikers Harry Graham and Ben Kaye, Mandel will be finding himself up front more and more over the next few weeks. He followed up last week’s double in front of the JC cameras with another double today. The first goal was testament to his hunger and desire to gobble up the rebound from James Millet’s missed penalty, whilst his second goal was a moment of brilliance as he lobbed the Brady keeper from a full 35 yards

REFEREE - Robert Benardout - brilliant throughout in a fiesty game, ensuring complete control from start to finish

----------------

FAIRLOP FC

Ryan Cole (GK) - Played in goal and was solid throughout, topping it off with two wonderful penalty saves in the shoot-out to send us through to the next round

----------------

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS

Aron Gale (S) - looks like scoring every time he shoots - made the transition from Division Two look easy

Liron Mannie (RM) - cracking 45 minutes - scores after three minutes and caused chaos in the Galaxy backline

Charlie Kasler (CM) - exceptional performance, three goals, two assists for the main man including "the best goal Sunday League has ever seen"

----------------

BRADY MACCABI

Josh Curtis (LM) - excellent throughout against Vale and capped it off with a goal

----------------

HENDON UNITED SPORTS

Rocky Spitzer (M) - five goals in the cup against Temple Fortune

Chaim Korman (M) - three goals, four assists

----------------

FAITHFOLD DOC MM A

Aaron Luftig (CB) - came up from the Bs and was an absolute rock at the back. Nothing got past him and he moved the ball really well

David Leiwy (LW) - scored a marvellous first-half hat-trick, really tormented his full-back and was man of the match. Somehow scored his third header of the season!

Eshed Rahav (RW) - was up and down the right the entire game, really worked hard and played some great football

----------------

FC TEAM

Connor Perl (S) - a constant threat against Faithfold in the cup

----------------

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A

Nate Kashket (S) - another hat-trick for RJC A superstar. Could've had two hat-ticks today , but the boy is on fire at the moment

----------------

JEWDINESE

Arron Goldberg (S) – 2 goals, great link-up play, a constant nuisance for Mincha’s backline

James Ross (CM) – introduced after half an hour and changed the game completely. Was a calming influence in midfield, doing the simple things right

Brandon Sassoon (D) – running out of things to say about him, completely solid, didn’t back out of any tackle and won every header

Brad Lander (CB) – Much like his centre back partner, nothing got past him. Was confident on the ball and kept the Mincha strikers quiet

----------------

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B

Max Aston (RM) - was always a threat. No idea why we stopped giving him the ball. Scored his first goal in men’s football and won’t be his last. 16 years old and you wouldn’t know it!

Craig Sandford (S) - striker for the day. Led the line superbly. Held the ball up immensely. A joy to watch. Should have scored 3!

----------------

LOS CAMDEN B

Gideon Rabstein (GK) - what a great performance for his send-off. He was at his best today, making save after save keeping us in it. Had his best game today, including a fantastic penalty save in the shoot-out. We hope he soon realises that his best days are ahead at 25 and comes out of retirement in the near future!

Rob Hershkorn (CAM) - a great performance from our number seven. Bossing the game for 120 minutes and creating most of our chances, his skill, ability and leadership today has shown why he's an important player for us

Ashley Couque (CB) - as always, Ashley puts 110 per cent in every match. The centre back made quality interceptions and tackles today and showed composure throughout

Yoel Deal (CM) - unbelievable at the centre of that park from the captain, spurring the team on in extra-time and winning every header and challenge throughout. Has an engine on him
