articlemain

The New Year period is traditionally a time when chairmen and managers alike make resolutions in a bid to make their clubs bigger and better. Here's the very latest from up and down the MGBSFL.

Boca Jewniors are bracing themselves for a flurry of bids for top-scorer Dovi Fehler, with London Maccabi Lions believed to be top of the list.

Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon is rumoured to be considering a mass clear-out over the summer after his team lost for the fifth time this season. A club source told JC Sport: “Several players have five months to save their Faithfold careers.”

Norstar London Raiders boss Phil Peters is reported to be close to signing a long-term deal to stay at the club after guiding them to a 13-point lead at the top of the MGBSFL Premier Division.

Another club keen to tie their manager down to a lengthy contract are Woodford Wanderers, following their flying start under Tony Charles.

David Garbacz is considering offering a prize for anyone who can find Hendon hotshot Danny Kon. The former Manager of the Year told JC Sport: "Nobody has seen or heard of Danny Kon since new year so I presume he is unavailable as well for Sunday!"

Rob Richman's loan deal to SPEC FC is on the verge of collapse after his club Norstar London Raiders accused the first division outfit of paying with out-of-date bagels. A spokesman for NLR told JC Sport: "We had no problems with the smoked salmon and cream cheese, but the bagels were rock hard!"

There are growing fears that long-standing Chigwell Athletic chairman Richard Slater is considering selling the club after finding love. A club insider believes "it's only a matter of time until he's under the thumb!"
