SPEC FC 1 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 5
David Garbacz says belief in the squad is high after Hendon United coasted to their third consecutive victory, crushed newly-promoted SPEC FC 5-1.
A deadly double from Ari Last plus further strikes from Zack Lewis and Josh Harris completed the rout, while Yoav Lebens fired his first goal since his return to the club.
Jon Kaye snatched a consolation for SPEC FC who were condemned to their third loss.
Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We produced another very satisfactory all-round team performance.
"In the first half we totally dominated and played some good pacy football carving out a number of chances.
"We were slightly disappointed to be only 2-1 up at the break - SPEC's goal coming from a moment of individual brilliance on their part - but we pulled away deservedly at the beginning of the second half with three more goals and from then on we were able to see the game out quite comfortably.
"SPEC did well and deserve credit - they were a nice team to play against and defended well particularly in the first half. We wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.
"As for us - we've had the perfect start and now have a couple of weeks break for some cup games. We've put ourselves in a nice early position and the belief in the squad is extremely high."
SPEC FC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "Hendon are a very good team. Conceding early was exactly what we didn't want to do but we can have no complaints, the better side won."
