Hawks show prey no mercy

Hendon Hawks Rangers youngsters secured another win with a hard fought 4-2 victory over HMH Negev in the Maccabi National League Under 11 Division.

Joel Leighton opened the scoring after neat interplay between Jamie Rosen and Joel Gottlieb.

But HMH Negev equalised soon afterwards with a corner too hot to handle for the Hawks keeper, who fumbled the ball into his own net.

Leighton restored the Hawks' advantage, by striking the ball into the roof of the net after a lay off from Gottlieb who grabbed his side's third after a fantastic shot past the keeper.

HMH dominated the second half and deservedly scored another but their hopes of a comeback were shattered when Rosen set up Gottlieb to complete the scoring.

A stunning eight-goal salvo from David Amor helped Hendon Hawks Rovers maintain their unbeaten start with an 11-2 win over HMH Eilat.

Amor grabbed two early goals, the first following a through ball by Akiva Restan, before HMH pulled one back. The tough-tackling Avishai Marcus restored Hendon's two-goal advantage before Restan made it 4-1 direct from a corner, and by half-time, Amor had completed his hat-trick. Substitue Jonathan Korn set up Amor's fifth before the the young hotshot added another.

The goals continued to come with Restan claiming his second and although HMH claimed another, nothing could stop Amor who was the grateful recipient of more excellent service from Restan and Korn to finish with eight goals to his name and bring his tally to 18 in three matches.

Rafi Terespolsky (2), Rafi Feinmeisser (2), Adam Biton and Shlomo Mirwis steered HISHU White to a 6-4 victory over Alyth White in the Under 14 Division.

Jack Davis, Jess Alexander, Johnny Daitz and Jake Rinsler steered London Maccabi Lions to a 4-0 success over Northwood Red in the Watford Friendly League Under 14 Division.

Charlie Ezra and Jack Miller were both on target to help earn the Lions a point against Watford Youth in the West Herts League Under 10 White Division.
