Hasmonean boys sparkle at Jerusalem marathon

A group of Year Six pupils from Hasmonean impressed at the Jerusalem half-marathon

Natan Bloom won the 16-17-year age category. Bloom also finished 16th overall in a time of 1:26. He was followed by Sholom Sandler who finished runner-up in the 18-19 category.

Raffi Maurer (1:49), Matthew Gold (1:51), Ari Rogosnitsky (1:54) and David Douer (2:14) also helped the group raise £17,000 for Shalva.

Bloom said: "It was the hardest race I’ve ever attempted, but we were carried along by the most fantastic atmosphere around the city in which 26,000 people took part in a day-long even."
