Harry Brand claimed his first wicket in senior cricket as London Maccabi Vale extended their winning run with a 10-wicket triumph over Shepherd’s Bush.

Brand, 11, the son of LMV legend Adam, clean bowled his victim as Bush were dismissed for 103.

Steven Allweis claimed three wickets with an impressive new-ball spell. Newcomer Benjy Lovat produced a solid stint on a pitch that offered some swing and spin.

There were also wickets for Jon Daniels and the evergreen Jonathan Freedman, with wicketkeeper Aviel Schwarz looking sharp behind the stumps.

Openers Danny Caro (50 not out) and Neil Lederman (41 not out) produced some powerful hitting as helped LMV rattled off the runs inside 13 overs.

With their Chess Valley League Division Three opener against Winchmore Hill a fortnight away, LMV Lederman would have been satisfied with his team's start to the season but he insists there is room for improvement following back-to-back promotions.
