MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION
HAROLDEANS 3 REICH INSURANCE RANGERS 0
Mike Bloomberg launched his Haroldeans reign in style after condemning Reich Insurance Rangers to their first defeat.
After two successive wins, new Reich bosses Stuart Delmonte and Tony Rosenberg were brought crashing back down to earth with a bump.
The Merseysiders are expected to mount a challenge for the MJSL title this season. And they did not disappoint here, with Adam Shiffman among their scorers.
Skipper Jonny Harris, who stepped down to concentrate on player duties, said: “I’m hopeful we can have a good season. It’s about ensuring we boast a competitive squad every week. If we can do that then we will be challenging at the right end of the table."
Reich suffered their first setback of the new season but co-manager Rosenberg said: "We’ve been delighted with the effort and application of the players.
"I'm sure they will continue to work hard and we will have a decent season. We will aim for the top. There's no point otherwise."
