HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
LONDON LIONS 6 EVERGREEN 0
London Lions were again dominant as Evergreen were put to the sword at Rowley Lane in the HSCL.
Lions were given a shock, however, falling a goal behind when a hotly-disputed penalty was awarded and then fired past Lions ‘keeper David Myers to give the visitors an unexpected lead.
This was not decisive however, as Lions went on the rampage and comfortably took control of the game.
Once again the forward players did the damage; top-scorer James Gershfield’s hat-trick was added to with a pair from Charlie Kasler and another from Josh Kennet.
On a day for the attackers, manager Andy Landesberg called out the defence; "The boys at the back held firm and gave us the foundation to build on today.
"We have been very consistent and we look to take that into the cup next week and produce something similar."
Lions face Cuffley at Rowley Lane next weekend in the Herts Centenary Trophy.
