DEAN FURMAN has boosted his bid to win a contract with Blackburn Rovers.
The Championship club will take a further look at the South Africa captain during this week’s warm-weather training camp in Portugal.
Rovers have been running the rule over Furman since returning to pre-season training earlier this month.
Furman, who turned down deal at Doncaster to further his career, caught the eye in the Lancashire side’s friendly win over Accrington on Saturday.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring with a sweet left-footed finish high into the net and did enough for manager Gary Bowyer to select him for the tour.
