Temple Fortune Old Boys 6-1 Bushey Old Boys

A hat-trick from Robert Botkai helped Temple Fortune Old Boys win the Ralph Epstein Memorial Trophy for the 13th time by defeating Bushey Old Boys at Hillingdon Borough.

Bushey started the brighter side and went forward from the start. After only two minutes, a fine move resulted in Darren Coombe crossing the ball from the left wing for Alan Davidoff to fire home past Serge Weinberger from close range.

Steve Feiger put Fortune back on level terms on 11 minutes following a swift passing move.

Fortune took the lead on the stroke of half time when Feiger’s up and under struck the crossbar and rebounded to the feet of substitute Botkai who tapped home.

Moroccan Yali Mamouri opened up a two-goal lead with a strike early in the second half before Jeremy Fess made it 4-1 from close range.

Bushey continued to battle with Coombe smashing an effort against the underside of the bar. Then Dave Summer, making his 200th appearance for Fortune, was adjudged to have handled inside the area, but Bushey captain Steve Lewis failed to convert.

Botkai scored twice in the closing stages with his third coming from 30 yards.
