Field to play against world champions

Daniel Field has been selected for the Blind England squad for the forthcoming one-day series against world champions India.

Field, who is 26 and a former winner of the Maccabi GB Sportsperson of the Year, will feature in a series of matches played over 20 and 40 overs, with the first game taking place at Leamington Cricket Club on May 24.

Other games are scheduled for Wolverhampton Cricket Club, the Kia Oval and Arundel Castle, with Field hoping to go past 50 appearances for his country.
