FC Team maintained their 100 per cent start in the Middlesex County League Division One with a 5 -2 demolition of Regents Park.
Playing a 4-3-3 formation, Team gave a debut to Nigerian striker Eddie Obbinna. After coming close in the first minute, he opened the scoring in the 5th. Andy Croll won the ball in midfield and playing an exquisite through ball to Obinna who hammered the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Regent’s were failing to deal with Team’s front three and Obinna doubled the lead after great work from striker partner Richard Salmon saw him head home from close range.
It was soon 3-0 as Irvine Howson head home a long throw from Neil Weyman.
The second half started much like the first and Team came close on a number of occasions - Croll, Obinna, Salmona and Moss all firing over.
Team made opened up a four-goal lead on the hour mark when Howson won the ball, squared it to Salmon who smashed the ball home.
Mitch Young’s men then took there foot off the pedal and Regent scored from a free-kick when thier unmarked striker slotted home. However this sparked Team into life again as the Regents keeper spilled a shot from Croll, giving Salmon an the easy task of poking the ball home.
Regents scored a second before the final whistle.
FC Team manager Mitch Young said: “This was another great performance from the Team against a a decent Regents Park side. I was really impressed with the midfield partnership of Croll and Judah and when you have the front three that we do, it is very hard for another team to stop us.
“We have started well and we just must keep it going but I’m delighted with the victory and look forward to the next game.
