Mitch Young insists FC Team B are in great shape ahead of next weekend's BGT final after wrapping up their league season with a 4-1 victory over Oakwood B.

LORIAN MADANES was the hat-trick hero as FC Team B ended their league campaign in style, with Jon Breger adding the gloss before lifting the league trophy at Rowley Lane.

Team player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "It was a lovely way to end the league season, winning 4-1. We won 14 out of 16 games and that is a wonderful achievement and I am proud of everyone.

"Having rested and rotated this week the game was slightly disjointed and credit to Oakwood who battled hard with 10 men. However, we are building up momentum for the final next week and with a hat-trick from Lorian, our attackers are getting ready to shine on the big stage."

But Oaks boss Jason Stein believes the match was closer than the scoreline reflected.

He told JC Sport: "4-1 the score may have been, but given we played the whole match with 10 men (injury) and held them to 1-0 until 65 minutes, I'd say eased is the wrong word.

"I think Mitch and his players would agree on that count.

"It was a tough week for us but I've never been more proud of the 10 lads who played today. They showed what spirit and hard work is and I've never been prouder to be associated with them.

"Congratulations to Mitch and his side."
