Maccabi GB have appointed Stephen Schindler as its Golf Chair ahead of next year's 13th European Maccabi Games in Vienna.

Having represented Maccabi GB at the recent Maccabi Transatlantic Cup, Schindler will also spearhead the golf challenge for the 2013 Maccabiah Games.

Schindler said, "My hopes and expectations are to organise and fundraise for the most competitive teams in all golfing categories ever taken by Team GB in golf. I want to take a team to both these games that competes at the highest levels and enjoys the experience whilst, hopefully, bringing home some medals".

Trials for the junior, ladies and men's squads have taken place this month.
