WINSLOW UNITED 2 LONDON LIONS 1

A hugely depleted Lions team lost 2-1 to Winslow Utd at the weekend.

A corner and penalty were Lions undoing, in a game of few chances that had a typical end of season feel to it.

Jon Ellis fired a consolation goal for the Lions.

Lions boss Tony Gold said: "The effort and commitment from those that gave up their Saturday afternoons to play was commendable.

"Unfortunately, we just lacked the quality and cutting edge all over the pitch to get something out of the game, even though there was nothing in it and we ended up losing out on a penalty."

LIONS: Dan Lee, Tony Gold, Jon Ellis, Adam Lipman (sub: Nick Landesberg), Nick Barnett, Jamie Nagioff, Bradley Lander, Leo Kaye, Rafi Soccairello, Dean Nyman, Connor Perlmutter
