Andy Landesberg admits London Lions got exactly what they deserved as their patchy away form continued with a 4-2 defeat at Wormley Rovers.
The Lions went into the Herts Senior County League match against Rovers unbeaten in seven but it took the hosts just two minutes to forge ahead when Josh Tray failed to deal with a corner.
Lions responded well and were level soon after when Josh Kennet scored a great solo goal to continue his rich vein of form and net his 10h goal of the season.
With the bit between their teeth, recent signing Austin Lipman put Lions 2-1 up, scoring from 15 yards, but Wormley drew level after a swift counter-attack and poor defending before the break.
Wormley capitalised on some more sloppy Lions defending early in the second period and ended Lions' hopes in the dying moments when Lions were caught out at the back when pressing for an equaliser.
Lions manager Andy Landesberg said: "We deserved nothing. We had 16 attempts and eight of those were golden.
"If you can’t take opportunities that are handed on a plate then what chance do you have?"
