Here is my Select XI from Matchday 3 of the MGBSFL.
1. ADAM ZAIDMAN (Scrabble FC) - "making his last appearance before his transfer to Camden Park on Monday made some important saves in the second half to keep us in the game"
2. HARVEY KAYE (Oakwood A) - "first game back in over six months. Outstanding display motoring up and down the right wing from full-back. Caused problems all game"
3. ALEX LEWIS (Los Blancos) – “faultless” in the win over Athletic Bilbaum
4. LEOR HAREL (RCUK FC) - "battled extremely hard to match Fortune's physical play with aggression of our own"
5. GAB STONE (Temple Fortune) - "excellent, playing out of position but dealt with everything and looked comfortable throughout"
6. ALEX SHER (NL Raiders C) - set the tone with a stunning opener against Boca – a JC Goal of the Week contender – and followed it up with two more in a stand-out performance
7. ALEX GOODMAN (NL Raiders B) - “Zack tells me that Alex has always dreamed of being the Aaron Ramsey of Raiders - box to box with goals. I prefer to think of him as our Dele Alli :) two really well taken goals"
8. JOSH HARRIS (Hendon A) - "excellent all-round forward display - tireless running good hold up and the all-important first goal"
9. LIRON MANNIE (NL Raiders A) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
10. JAMES GERSHFIELD (ML Lions A) - "in my eyes and many others he’s the best striker in Jewish football his goal scoring recorded for the Saturday Lions, Harmen and now lions A has been phenomenal he adds so much to the team, he had 5 shots on Sunday and they all went in, that shows you how good of a finisher he is"
11. MAX MARTIN (L’Equipe) - "a great hat-trick on only his second start. Fitted in like a dream into his new team and this has already been rewarded by a superb treble. Devastating partnership with Andy Smith which can only mean great things for the rest of the season"
